It says that the next Festival is in the planning stage, and more details will be posted 'soon'. It doesn't say if it's in Golconda or elsewhere next time.... Meanwhile there's also info about other events eg the Hobart Festival Dec 28-Jan 8 and Sideshow Paradiso at the Adelaide Fringe in Feb/March

.....Can't juggle balls but I sure as hell can juggle details....

Just checked out the Circusfest site www.circusfest.com and it says:

The next confirmed Circus Festival is set for March 2,3,4 2007.

In 2008 the festival will be held in Far North Queensland.

That's a long way off, and a long way from Tassie!

I am currently in the process of getting funds together to go. I just really hope that there are still some places available for the workshop.

I was wondering how every was going to get there. I live in Melbourne and was considering catching the Spirit Of Tasmania and driving, just so i could take more stuff with me. But i think that is rather expensive. What is everyone else doing?

I organised the fireshow for the 2005 fest. Was a distinct lack of fire talent during the training weeks (or they were all busy recovering from other skills) so the choreo was pretty basic, but lots of fun and turned into a great show. Even managed to get some gas installations shooting fireballs Wooop!

Would be great to have more spinners to play with next year.

WOWEE!!! I havnt booked it yet but it isnt going to be long until i do. I cant wait to get my sticks out of the cover they have been sitting in, faning off the dust and giving them a spin.

Its going to be awesome. As long as i can go. If not i better get to hear some awesome stories.

Is the festival open to spinners as well?

My little cousin really wants someone to go to, but if its all juggling, flipping and elephants then i'm thinking i might be a little overwhelmed. If not, i'm very down for some good times.

Oh for sure it is. As mentioned previously, tickets for the training week have sold out (I think) but the weekend is still open to anyone. It's open to anyone of any age and capability. In fact you don't even need to have any skills what so ever. Oh as for elephants, it's not that sort of circus.. Most people there are of the 'that's clasified as cruelty to animals' mindest.. So no elephants I doubt..

Check out https://www.circusfest.com/festivals/
if you want more info. biggrin

Ahhh, i didnt get in quick enough. I now have enough money to get the training course tickets but they have sold out! frown But going to the actual festival would be heaps of fun. Im going to Woodford as well so i might go crazy and go to this one too.

TumbleHat, if your going up at just for the festival i will definatly come if your offering..... :-) And i would definalty split the cost. That would be sooooo good.

If anyone has a ticket they dont need, a spare ticket or have changed there mind for some unknown reason (coz it will be awesome) please let me know!!!

well now that only the public section if the festival is open its definatly worth coming along. there will be spinners there (like myself smile) but on the saturday and sunday, as well as the public workshops, there is a continious list of shows and performances to watch, all covered by the price at the gate!

tickets are $115 AUD when you book ealry. i'm not sure if they'll be selling them on the gate, i expect they will be unless they reach capacity. if they do sell tickets on the gate they'll probably be a bit more pricey.
