awww *plays a small violin*, its horrible!

Looks pretty sturdy though, do VW's hold up well in crashes, normal cars these dayswith there light weight bodys tend to fold into tiny match box shapes when they crash (folding whoevers inside it with them), are bugs like....crash proof or something...hitler you geniouse! lol

Kombis have no crumple points. You hit any pedestrian, they've got about as much chance as a snowball in hell.

I'm not so sure about the bugs though... I think they may predate crumple points, so the impact will be fairly solid....

I souldn't like to be in either vehicle in a crash.

But then again, I don't want to be in a crash at all...

Wow I am having fun bouncing between this VW thread and GTI's other one about VW's and Tattoo's.

Hanz you can so find another bonnet at a junk yard. Pretty cheap I am sure. Finding old used VW parts needs a little creativity sometimes. Like finding an abandoned VW in the woods and scraping the parts. There are unfortunately many neglected VW's out there siting in yards, knock on doors and ask if you can get their bonnet. Or go to a meet and parts will be in plenty. People bring so much stuff to barter and sell.

I thought I waz just dreammin'?!!??!!??!! Dis place can't really be real.

I think mum and dad are going to fix the bonnet for my 18th as well... it was a Aus$500 car, we don't want to lost it any time soon... especially those of us who have become attatched (and I havent even driven it yet)
