Posted:The only downside to working at a renfaire all the time is the nasty mean people who also run booths there, and have prettyful things to buy. My newest addition to my collection of toys are 3 juggling balls with a chainmail covering. It gives them a very nice heavy weight for their size which makes them absolutely lovely to juggle with.
I bought the set of 3 for $30 CAD.

Anyways, I just wanted to share my new toy with everyone, I did a search and found not much discussion re: chainmail and toys here so I figured we could throw around ideas in here.

Posted:Careful buying maille balls off ebay.. And definatly stay away from aluminum maille balls, it's too weak to stand up to much abuse unless you get up into like 14-12g wire.

Stainless is the way to go most definatly, or if you want lighter you can go with Titanium, either way it would only cost you a couple bucks in material to actually make them yourself wink

And my balls are stainless incase anyone was wondering. I agree re: Lurch and the aluminum balls though, they would't last a week of juggling.

Hey ImmortalAngel,

Which ones do you work usually?

I am a big time medieval buff, love going to those things and doing demos there.
