Posted:Darn. By fixing it you ruined my answer. It means it was significant enough to do something about.

Pedantic Characterized by a narrow, often ostentatious concern for book learning and formal rules.
Grammarian. A specialist in grammar.
(I could not find grammartist.)

By being so I should've also suggested the its vs it's, but I do not find that as irritating.

btw, Ostentatious is another word for pretentious.

but the thing that cheese's me the most is when your at a rave and you get up to go off and you got such a good vibe then just as your about to bust someone bumps into you and the whole vibe is gone. or you get up to dance after getting a back masage or what ever reason you get up for and the beat stops or worse the music stops.

ive gone to two party's in Montreal now and both times this happend to me more than once a night. well they were Happy Hard Core party's too (the only music spun in Montreal.) and for somereason they build and build and build then bam right into a thirty seconds of trance then boom boom boom way to fast to do anything to exept flail around while on speed. uhhhhh speed is a gross dirty drug.

sorry i get a little mad when thinking about bad music.

my two cents

Ostentatious Characterized by or given to ostentation; pretentious.

Fond of, or evincing, ostentation; unduly conspicuous; pretentious; boastful.

btw, why do they define the word with the word you're looking up?

Posted:People who don't think. By this I mean people who don't take advantage of all the information in the world around them before doing something, and thereby do something completely idiotic...on a regular basis.

For example: we had a lecture on asbestos yesterday. Now, as if it wasn't obvious enough already that the best way for workers who work with asbestos to avoid exposure is to wear a respirator, it was also clearly spelled out in the lecture handout three times. We have a girl in our class who is an expert at doing this stunt: She raised her hand and asked how workers who worked with asbestos could reduce their exposure. Meanwhile, the lecture has already run ten minutes over, I need to pee, and this ditz is keeping us there longer because she somehow hadn't figured this out ahead of time, or even if she hadn't known (by some amazing set of circumstances), she hadn't been following along in the handout? Grrrrr.

Or the guy at the airport who decides that, despite the signs all over the place saying that you can't take a pocket knife through security (and the extensive media coverage on the issue), tries to reason with the security guard that he's really not a threat and can't he just please just this once take his knife on the plane? (Yes, this has happened...the guy would up having to be dragged off by security because he couldn't be parted with his knife).

Or the idiot I saw the other day smoking next to the hospital's oil tank. Big huge "FLAMMABLE MATERIALS: NO SMOKING" signs all over the place and the putz is smoking a cigarette while leaning on the fence around the tank and tapping his ashes on the fence! And because I was in my white coat, I had to be all courteous: "Sir, do you see the no smoking signs? That tank is full of gasoline to power the hospital's generators in case the power goes out. That's a really bad place to be smoking. Can you go smoke over there instead?"

I don't know where you get these people from!

Posted:People who wait for the tone one your answering machine before deciding to hang up, leaving you with ten exciting messages that all say beeeeep. I mean, it is not like they hadn't figured it out that they were talking to an answering machine a little earlier in the piece.

On the other side, here is sonething I really love when working in the call centre. There are some regular customers who call in, a couple of which are real pains and incredibly rude. It is really fun when they call in for some info, say like when their delivery is going to be made, and discover that everything is on schedule and they have nothing to shout about. They sound so deflated & disappointed.

Flat beer. Enough said.

Realising you left a crucial piece of equipment at home halfway to your destination.

Getting sick or a hugearse zit on a night out you've been looking forward to for ages.

Being called in to work on your day off.

Burning eyebrows or other hair and trying to explain it to non fire people. Getting soot marks and a funny fuel smell over your clothes.

Being burnt by muzzas who wave their cigarettes all over the place in clubs, burning a hole in your favourite jacket as you try to get past...

Sleazy guys who DONT get the picture that you aren't interested.

Getting your drink spiked. Trust me its a horrible experience and the people that do it are the lowest scum form on earth.

And then I get on with my day.

Posted:Look dude, this is the ONLY one of my post that is a true opinion of mine. I saw your video, you are good enough to get paid in my book. I just think there are some people out there who are selling a bad product. It makes me feel bad for the people and promoters that spend there money on them when there are people out there that will dance for free.

About the kid thing. If they really need the help why can't you teach them for FREE? Instead of taking charities.

Okay, I'm sorry about the other post and being mean. Some people start games and I start flames. Sometimes it makes people interesting. I just promise from now on I won't start anymore fights unless it's my real feelings. Sorry again

All talk, no action type people.

Bad drivers. More specifically, the ones who have lived in this area their whole lives but still drive 15 mph under the speed limit because of rain or snow, thus causing accidents. (I saw 5 accidents yesterday from this! )

Christmas shit before Halloween.

I like Thistle's excess packing crap and Rozi's answering machine thingy.

Telemarketers calling at 8am on Sunday!

People who see a performance routine and copy..THE WHOLE FREAKIN THING!.. without asking or even changing it to make it their own, and they do it badly.

People who pretend to be interested in what I am interested in to get close to me.

Parents who scream at their children all the time.

When you are really wanting to get home, have to pee, are falling asleep at the wheel and all the lights seem to turn red as you come to them.

People who exaggerate and lie in order to try to make themselves look really good, but only end up looking stupid.

The fact that the chip bags are now waaaay more air than chips.

Most tv commercials, and especially their jingles.

The audition process.

When a show closes and you get that empty feeling left behind.

When the roll of toilet paper wasn't changed up and you are left sitting with the tattered edges of a half sheet, and more is not within reach.
(This happened to my friend the other day. It was funny!)

Queen of Wands, you are able to do something about the whole sooty clothes smelling like fuel thing, don't spin fire.

Like bad drivers like the idiots who don't LOOK AT THE INFORMATION AVAILABLE TO THEM (i.e. what's RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM...i.e. see my post above) and crash into bikers ten cm's in front of their front bumpers?

Yeah, I know what you mean.

As you know toys are not cheap and when you need in excess of 20 sets of poi diabolos and soforth this isnt cheap.
but i have seen some shite in my time and do wonder myself why promoters employ fire acts that are totally crap from any point of view.
as for the video.....thats old but cheers for the coments.
