after a two week holiday culminating with Uberoz, its a bit of a shock to the system to get back to work.

everyone here just seems so boring! no-one here find tiger balm, synchonised swimming, and wibbles at all amusing. frown *grumblegrumbleboringengineerswithnopersonalitygrumblegrumble*

And also.. hmmm... two tents have gone missing from where we camped at the scout hall... probably innocently packed in someone's car and driven off... one (mine) was in a silver bag and the other one (tePOOKa Steve's) was in an orange bag I think. They were under the tarp that we put up... I'll PM/email some people who might know but in the meantime, any clues?? confused

umm well i dont think we would have taken it - but we did have 3 tents so its possible. my cars only half unpacked so ill check tonite.

Ahhh... the internet. Not as fun as seeing you all in person, but still nice.

UberOz was great and much too short. So many people I wanted to have a real conversation with.

It is wonderful indeed that we have people like Rob and Gabe and all the rest to make these things happen!!!

And yes, pictures. I can't wait to see pictures and videos smile

Re my "light sabre" , its actualy reflective sign making material, but all retro reflective materials look like this if you have a light aimed at them in the same direction as you are looking. The best material to use (several times brighter than on my stick in this picture) is the reflective tape off a high visability vest. I have heard this material is now also available woven into rope and available in many camping and hiking shops. Thanks heaps to all involved in running this weekend , it was good even with a night of mossie induced sleep deprivation and a body that feels so dead even the ants wont try to eat it when I lie on the ground.

just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone at uberoz. i was definitely not a poi twirler before uberoz (because almost all things i could do with club swinging), but now i cant put them down. i especially want to thank rob. you truly are an inspiration to me, in all areas of object manipulation, and have turned me into a poi nerd. i look forward to the next time our paths cross

pah! And how long have I been tryng to persuade you to take up poi? And now you go and take up with the worst kind of tech-poi crowd wink with their tiger balm and nipples and such.

It was a day for screaming at inanimate objects.

What this calls for is a special mix of psychology and extreme violence...

Dunno! We certainly made enough fuss about it. I nearly got the Hassler of the Year award for handing out flyers and stuff! Come up and introduce yourself at Moonfest or Juggle Jam and we'll make sure you get Personally Hassled next time! I'm easy to spot... that's me in the photo (p15) in the front with the bucket! biggrin
