what is the best poem you can come up with?
oh..it can also be one you liked that you wanted to share, that someone else wrote....

i want to see how this went over with you guys and ladies....

"Life"
Life is life,
what can i say?
You live and you die
in all the same day.
Life is useless to the
depresed and insane.
my life is useless
fore i am the lame.
i can't hold it
or buy it,
but is there
just the same.
making me more mad by the day.
it is there all the time,
making my way
fore one day when we meet....
you will,and can say!
"Blessed This Beautiful Fine Day!"

end.

Magic
10/25/2000

Riding home from lab today it flashed before my eyes
I did a double-take, but it still hung there in the sky.
A little splash of color, strange, brilliant, and rare
Was floating in sky ahead, suspended in mid-air!

And as I biked, the colors grew, they brightened, stretched and flowed!
I couldn’t help but stare at them while biking down the road.
I stopped my bike, I dismounted, I couldn’t look away
From this spectre in the sky that G-d had sent today.

And as I stood there watching the rainbow arc across the sky
I couldn’t believe that people were just blindly biking by.
I couldn’t understand why they didn’t stop and stare
At the spectral light display that was floating in the air.

How jaded were these people I saw biking down the street
Who were staring straight ahead and ignoring this great treat!
It’s sad to think that they weren’t the least bit moved by what they saw.
Do they have no sense of wonder left? Can’t they feel awe?

All of us are busy and I know this to be true.
But that hasn’t killed my wonder at the things nature can do.
I think I realized just then that I would rather die
Than fail to be amazed by a rainbow in the sky.

The world is full of magic, something every child knows,
But a grown-up only sees what’s put right before his nose.
So next time that you see that there is magic in the air,
Dare to be the only one to drop your jaw...and stare.

Sacrifice
2/22/2001

In memory of the men and women of the Challenger tragedy.

A rose may bloom once every spring for years and years unending
But there are thorns there on the stems that winds of change are bending.
And it is just so with the tale that flows from history’s pen
As it writes of heroes’ triumphs and the victories of men.

Into the West did young men ride upon their sturdy steeds,
Braving Mother Nature’s wrath to see what they could see.
And they lit their campfires as dusk began to fall
Yet one black-clad visitor would often deign to call.

Lightning flashes, thunder claps, and in do dark clouds roll.
The human spirit, the quest for truth, exacts its grisly toll.
Those very forces in the soul that fill it with its light
Join these brave adventurers as they journey into night.

But in their loss there is yet hope; their visions do not die.
As new steeds ride on firey trails into the azure sky,
New brave adventurers ride east into the setting sun.
And some might say that twilight falls...
But daybreak’s just begun.

Why didn't you post this in the poems thread that has been on page one in social for that last few days? Why did you insist on starting another one?

Wasting bandwidth. Costing Malcolm money ...

Meh

Mr. C@ntus must not have noticed but,...
My internet is down and i haven't been on the computer for a few weeks...
I am currently and whenever i am on the site, am at my grandmothers house using her Windows XP.
which is pretty sweet if i do say so myself the last time i was on this site was two weeks ago!
so info on stuff like this must be taken into acount.
Before people start yelling and ranting at someone for sharing a bit of something they have made up.
now,...
if someone had mentioned this to me i would not
have made this thread and so i shall erase it and this post will go to waste!

Party hard, rock and roll,
Drink a forty, smoke a bowl,
we are stoners,
we have class,
fuck with us,
we'll kick your ass,
to all those preps who think there cool,
think again cuz stoners rule.

if practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, then why practice?
