I wish I counted in brightly coloured shapes...

Start watching Discovery Kids, as Tinkle... Tinquelle Pants said. Or better still, watch the news channels. Get the son hooked on current affairs.

He'll love the news in no time. :|

yes kids tv is supposed to be educational.

whats so educational about watching aliens with tvs in their bellies eat pink custard?

and what is with that showing the same clip twice?! wastes valuable time! I wanna see with po and her scooter!

Posted:Little children are visual learners.

They somebody doing something, they copy. That's how they learn. These programmes are aimed at children between the ages of 0-4. Before they can read or even talk properly.

The bright colours catch their attention and keep them watching.

Showing something to them twice lets it sink in a bit better.

Luckily most kids learn from experiences too... PLay dough - tastes bad... However, if they keep seeing other people doing it, they're gonn keep doing it...
