ok - here's an idea, for next year maybe.
(this is just a suggestion by the way)
I was thinking how cool it would to have a tour of the UK, HoP style - Via coach or something. It may take a few weeks to complete, visiting anywhere easily accessible that has a HoP spinning community.
we could:-
pick up HoPpers along the way
visit HoPpers who can't usually get to any meets (or who can't get time off to join us but still meet everyone)
See this wee island's lovely scenery
and other fine things.
it'll be like a mobile PLAY or a Falmouth on wheels!
from cornwall to the highlands of scotland (or vice versa)
that's my idea, sadly i'm not minted and have no spendable cash so this dream of mine will likely stay a dream.
but it'd be fun though, yeah???

tv is a good one. sell it to them in the right way and you're bound to find a company who would lap it up!
even if it wasn't for sponsorship, it help you raise awareness and probably get more work.

something i think you'd have to avoid would be signing contracts. as soon as you do that you are giving the company more control than they should have, and it means the person who signs is in-charge/responsible/etc which can course unneccessary conflict.

maybe invite them to proformances etc but not turn teh trip into a show

Well it seems like its getting a bit harder to sort out, dunno about the tv side of things although think it could be funny.
But i reckon it would change everyone and they would try and tell everyone what to do and where to go.
Still stand by what i said before though if it happens my place will be free.
BTW i already have a beard and tash (just too damn lazy too shave as working nights you dont see many ppl) but i do like my eyebrows lol.

i had a thought about the bus idea last night.......................if we get a bus from a scrap yard im sure there must b a few machanics between us
and people who may work in a shop or a yard who can
lay there hands on a few bits 4 us a little work and
we have 1 hop bus

How about a Convoy? Just have a bus, and as many other vehicles, people on Bicycles and Uni's, skateboards attached to rope from the back, just tour like that, pitch up camp around the UK. Fuel is a big bummer, but if its like a Bring-your-own-Transport.
