Does anyone have a good personal motto or any general advice?

Because the year 12s have to fill out a sort of profile that goes in the yearbook at the end of the year...and the questions are as follows:

'I've learnt ...

I love/d ...

My advice is ...

My motto is ...

Don't tell anyone but ... '

I don't like them, but we have to do it...and I'm stuck on the motto and advice ones....so any good suggestions are greatly appreiciated. I don't want to have the corny ones like 'life is short' 'live life to the fullest' 'follow your heart' because everyone will have ones like those! I kind of want it to be witty but lovely at the same time. I want it to bring a smile on all the other years 12s (and everyone else) who will read it.

Some of you have good ones in your signitarues, I've noticed this over time. So I'll be taking notice of signatures now!

.All things are beautiful if we take the time to look.

We had to suggest a motto for our Yr 12 book too

Mine was "Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you may be dead"

I also like "Everything happpens for a reason" (suggested by Ace of Spades)

Another was, " To be Frank, Id have to be a man" Quite witty i thought- Well done Laura Pragnell for that life motto!!

You'll find me on the dance floor

You know, I realized that my post sounded sarcastic, but it really isn't.

Remember my post about the little baby who was born and suffered for about 24 hours and then died?

My solution to it? "Sh*t happens."

It means that not everything has a rhyme or reason and that we must accept this. And that when "Sh*t hits fan" the solution is not to ponder the greater meaning of it all, but to get out of the way.

I just found another good one for me:

"when the game of life makes you feel like quittin',
it helps a lot if you kill a kitten" - Stephen Lynch

I take it to mean "when things get you down go out and do something stupid and random".

Ps I'm a cat lover so killing a kitten -is- out of the question.

on a serious note:

For advice, i'd say just to pass on what you think is the best thing to do in the situation. There are no rights, there are no wrongs. It's what you feel is best to do. Always wear sunscreen (you might remember that, roar tongue )

It's better to spend a lot of money on really good tools than spend next to no money on crap ones.

For a motto, one of my favouriter ones is:

'The first step to being able to do something is you telling yourself you can' someone might have said that, or something similar. not sure.

know thyself

"master"

More of an attitude than a motto, but a friend of mine has this as his signature:

I'd even extend the happiness is a choice to include anger being one too, Jonny. I haven't got angry when I've noticed I was doing it and thought about it in at least a year since I found that out. biggrin

I just found it interesting that a character was given the credit...not the author.
