okay.. earlier i went to a forest and it was sunnny, and i was playing this game, there were loads of little patches of light and i wanted to watch my shadow spinning... but all the patches were to small for my whole shadow.. so i played a game, i had to spin with just the poi in the light and i had to keep them in the light the whole time. - 'spinning in the patch of light' biggrin and if you spin long enough the patch moves or you can run around fitting your poi into all the different patches of light.

trees are brilliant smile

That sounds like a wondrous game, I'll have to try that out soon.

And I have to agree that trees are brilliant indeed, I think far too few people realize that.

dancing with trees is actually pretty good fun... btb waistwraps around the tree = challenging.

also branch wraps should be possible. and trunk wraps from horizontal stuff. and you can hug her smile

also there is spinning outside the patch of light.

p.s. bloody pirates.... tongue

haha,

Oli the other day i went to a little japanese garden with a crazy little tree with low horizontal branches. They were too low to have a good spin so i started throwing the poi over the branches, like you normally would with your arm. It's really hard but i had great fun doing it. Also bounch wrapping the branches was nice. Occasionally a poi would just land on the branch so i'd carry on wibbling the other, then reach up and grab the other one back when i wanted to smile

So yes, I have danced with a tree before and have the video to prove it wink

for my final in movement studies at Uni. I choreographed a dance for three that was entirely arial, high up in a grove of trees on top of a misty hill. Winter, so it was very stark and barrren, with the dancers like snakes and birds wrapping themselves around, draping off, and sliding between the trees...Much, much time spent dancing with ,and in, trees. I love them. Very happy time.

A s part of shamanic training a friend of mine teaches a course called " Advanced Tree Hugging" lol

Must go outside now and find a patch of light!

I've danced with a few trees, they don't step on your toes at all like some people I've danced with. Sure, they don't move to much, but that's only because they're so cool. When you're as old as a tree, all you got to do is sway a bit and chill. I wanna be a tree. That shadow game seems really fun too, I love watching my shadow spin.

Don't mind me, just passing through.
