Health experts have issued a warning that children under 16 should not take aspirin because of the risk of a rare but potentially fatal condition called Reye's syndrome.
Audrey Harrington's daughter Katie died of the condition in 1981, aged 11.

After hearing how fantastic Aspirin is over the years..

Why didn't we just stick with White Willow bark extract?

So if you are 15 and 364 days old you have to wait a day..

The risk of Rye's syndrome has been recognized in the U.S. for over 10 years. Aspirin should not be given to children underr 16, especially if they have fever.

The reason that willow bark wasn't as good as aspirin, BTW, was because it was much more acidic and irritating to the stomach than aspirin.

Aspirin is still great for adults and can be used to treat a number of complaints and conditions, but kids should take Tylenol or Advil.

indeed.
no drugs are good for you.
we've basically stopped the natural evolution of our immune systems through the use of medications. soon we'll have disgustingly weak immune systems and pop pills for anything. death from the common cold won't be that unlikely.

well that is if the world doesn't end in 2012, whiiiiich it will..

It is good for fever, but the best thing to do with a fever is to just let it be. A fever is a defense mechanism, so don't fight fevers.

If a fever is so high that it's dangerous, then you need to go to the hospital.

The natural evolution of our immune systems involved everyone who didn't fight off a disease dying. Thats kind of how evolution works. Remember the black plaque?
