It's a list. A bunch of friends and I are making them. It is of 101 things to do in 1001 days. They need not be huge, life changing things but realistic goals, but they can be if you choose them to.

They also need to be as complete and explicit as possible (nothing simply vague).
They need to be obtainable. Sure we all want to make millions of $$$ but that is not necessarily realistic.

1001 days is around 2 3/4 years, and averages out to completing one goal every ten days.

I had the worst time starting mine but then once I did, and once I spoke with other people my list just kept growing (I think I am up to 105 now actually!).

I created my list in the end of July and actually started it at the beginning of August and have already completed 2 goals...and it feels really good to do so!

Anyway...thoughts? Encouragements?
What would your list look like?

Go Pele! I'm at a pretty life changing point right now...pursuing three options slowly to decide which is best because they all take up nearly 100% of my life once i commit....

god that would be cool. one of mine would be to commit to a path for the next few years of my life! tongue

that sounds like a really cool idea. erm i wouldnt know where to start.

erm i'd probably start with loose half a stone in weight.
then maybe make my skin complexion better
alot of it would be based on improving my health and appearance.
then maybe a way to get some money for traveling
then goals based around traveling.
it would be slightly boring mine i guess.

The body art thing...on mine 103 is to Henna a bald guys head! lol It's been something I have been wanting to do for AGES! lol

The whole point is that it is not supposed to be life changing...just those things we always said we'd do and don't, but in not doing them we feel like life is passing us buy. On mine I have things like...

*Spend a day at Enchanted Forrest Water Safari (water park) and convince Noah that the drop downy ones are safe and fun!

*Get a Mali Uromastyx, a Bearded Dragon or a Dog...or all (I've had them before and miss them)

*To revisit NZ and hit Australia this time around.

*To climb/explore 15 different waterfalls

*To set up my booth at more festivals

*To get a motorcycle

*To skinny dip in a gin-clear river (this is inspired by a certain HoPper ubblove )

There are other things on there, which are more personal like...

*Move into the new house we just bought and be okay with it (because I am really, *really* not okay with it)

*Reconcile myself with my tracheotomy scar...seriously look at it without crying, just once

Stuff like that. Nothing ginormous, and all of them are obtainable and are in some way good for me, even just as a smile.

See? All in fun! biggrin

I always have lots of little things like that- I think I just feel like I need to sort my big ones at the moment so I know what kinds of little ones I can do-

For example, I want to learn to do pistol targetry. But if I'm living in Britain, thats just not possible. And I want to go cross country skiing more- but if I live somewhere where there is no snow, its a bit.... well.... different!

Hey Pele! I've made a list of 15 things I want to do while in Edinburgh (town-related) and 20 things to do in general, and it's really cool to cross things off it smile

Unfortunately, most of them are "go to Australia" or "see Iceland", so it'll be an expensive list to be completing!

*bump*

I did my first list, but kept addin to it so it became my second list.

I *just* revised my 3rd list, which is now more like 130 than 101! lol

I looked back on the old ones, on how much I've accomplished and it is an insanely awesome feeling. When I get really grumpy and feel like I've not done anything, I look at that and am blown away.

So, how'd those who did it before do?

Who's with me for a new one to kick off a new year?

A fraction of the things I'v added to mine:
-get Noah his passport
-take Noah overseas
-Cook 5 meals from 5 cultures I've not cooked from before.
-Have an art show, in a gallery.
-Take Noah fishing
-Visit Toronto more
-Pay off my student loan
-Start back to school for my masters

Some life changing, some not but all fantastic.

So...who's in? smile

Mah pleasure!

As you can tell, I really enjoy it.

I was thinking about it the other day and there are so many things that had I not had them on my list, I'd not have done *other*, related things. So it's been amazing in that scope as well.

Does that mean you're in Ben? wink
