My repetitive-strain-damaged hands have been forbidden to play with poi, sticks etc for at least 4 weeks. Can't play guitar either cause it hurts. So basically I don't have a hobby anymore eek

So... attempts to keep me busy are presently including photography and playing the recorder aka freaking out the neighbours, though again that's not much fun cause I can't feel if my fingertips are actually on the holes wink

So I need a new hobby now, any suggestion welcome that doesn't involve strain on hands, heights, dogs or onions!

football. no hands at all (well, don't play goalkeeper).
you could play dance dance revolution (also no hands and good exercise + coordination). Photography is good- make a phtojournal of something.
Go hiking or running in the nearby areas.
Take the time to read a book or learn about something you've been putting off.
Go find a strange old scot in a bar and listen to stories. Surely in edinburgh you're gonna have stories!
Climb the mountain and run around on it.
Go look at the historical exhibit in the library.
Take some swing dancing lessons tongue

Not sure I can help, I don't know how to have fun unless there's at least one dog or onion involved wink

But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Hooping!!

go make yourself a hoop and get wiggling!!!

I know how you feel....its mightily frustrating hug I ended up going for lots of nice walks, watching too much telly, worked on my tan and went mildly insane from the bordem. I hope you find some fun stuff to do to fill your time biggrin hug2

foot poi whilst hooping perhaps.....ooohh ....thats interesting!!

Anyway, don't see it as a bad thing,it just gives you an ideal opportunity to practise foot based activities!!

Hope it gets better soon tho!! hug

hahahaha smile thanks a lot wink

For now I have the festival to keep me busy, but I think I'll go for a hoop and foot poi, and a dancemat if I can afford a playstation biggrin

Maybe I'll try and balance random stuff on my head like 2bags, too, it'll take ages until I get it wink Though to be fair, I couldn't lift up a stepladder at the moment...

Sorry guys, running isn't for me frown I've tried it, but I find it the most incredibly boring thing in the world as long as there's no purpose to it like getting somewhere in time or getting a ball into a goal wink But thanks for suggesting it, if I wasn't such a lazy fxck (quote: the boyfriend! but in a loving way wink) I might give it a go
