So far today, we have a shooting in Melbourne and a bus bombing in Israel. I just want to go to sleep and wake up tomorrow when it's all over.

Sometimes, I wish the Lord would come down and sternly clarify his "No Killing" rule.

Thing is, and this is more depressing to think of, stuff like this happens everyday...we just don't always hear about it.

I don't think God made the no killing rule, people did just to see who would be calloused enough to break it. It's a way to weed out the morally sadistic I suppose.

Sad, sad things indeed.

yea there r lots of bombings every day its just that not all of them get in the news
it is sad that the youth of today are not all going to grow up happy and healthy as there are so many bombings think about how many kids are left with no family cause they have been bombed i mean we have seen it happen on sep 11 2001

Babies were born today. The sun shone today. People fell in love today. People worked to negotiate peace today. People like yourself, Mike, saved lives today. People did things they enjoy with friends today.

I'm not discounting all the terrible things that happen every single day: i watch/read the news in horror most of the time - just, don't everyone forget that there is beauty and love and kindness out there too. There's a whole lot of it just here on this board!

I stopped watching the news on the whole. It reduces stress in my life. I find out about things quickly from yahoo, or when friends get into discussions about it. I just think that I have enough stress in my life that I am supposed to do something about, that I don't need to stress over something I have control over.
I know it sounds selfish, but it gets me through the day.

I like that train of thought too Nephtys. Optimistic........
