What is the most impressive move you can do? At the moment mine is the 4-beat windmill or 4-beat corkscrew =)

Judging from some comments when I was spinning at a recent dance, people were most impressed by the changing sizes of circles. It's sort of ironic that we go through all this trouble to learn all sorts of technical moves, and the thing that really confuses onlookers is when we wrap the poi around our hands a little bit.

spiral wraps and buzzsaws do look really nice with glowsticks. The key is making the wraps look fluid (unlike me)

It wasn't even something as complicated as that. I was just shortening the poi during a weave, and it completely confused people.

Right now, i get most "OOOH" from other spinners when I first go behind the back Butterfly then I bring the hands even further around to do a very close-body butterfly infront of me.. Difficult area to spin in, I might add.. planes are not stright, but man..

people still think it's pretty insanse..

Currently it's the 3 to 1 front plane same direction goofy butterfly flower that Diablo Andy taught me... it feels so nice to spin too, and you get a 3 or 4 beat antispin flower with a big circle slightly offset.

Spin, bounce, be one with the world, because it is yours to enjoy...

Mine is the amazing "hit my self in alternate eyes and shoulders while doing a btb 3beat weave."
I've tidied it up now so i hit my eyes less often

Hey, its getting there, dude!

O.O
How does one manage to hit their eyes on a btb weave?

Stan Fox: Damn these glasses.
Navin R. Johnson: Yes, sir.

My most awesome move would be a regular backwards btbweave, and then instead of swinging your poi to the other side, you swing it in-between your legs while simultaneously doing a turn! Its fun to pull off and can be very smooth when you do it right!

Haha, I just pulled off my most awesome move ever! From forward weave, I did a 720 on my toe, somehow kept my planes where they should be......and then SLAMMED my poi into my boy-parts as hard as I could.

Once around, then twice around, then fetal position on the floor. I am so very happy that I was the only one here to see that.

Mine is trifoil antispin flowers (poi forwards, arms backwards). Thanks go to Nick Woolsey and his focus points workshop at Play for giving me the tools to get that one!
