this is an idea that i've had since i went there last year with my family. it could be a 3 day event, like the length of falmouth, but possibly not quite as many people, as i'm not sure what the caravan/tent accomodation is like, there's a beach about a two minute walk away, the actual town bit that the camp site is next to is only a small town, north west of Donegal and there's a few places a little drive away such as a waterfall and a small island you can only get to when the the tide is out.

any thoughts/comments? smile

We are the music makers, We are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams;
We are the movers and shakers of the world for ever, it seems.

i've also found a map that pretty much points out where Narin is: https://www.portnooholidays.com/maps/wdonegal.htm

theres a lad in my office that knows narin well(and its not pronounced anything like you think it would be!!) he said its a great place to go , nothing happens there but its a nice little town with 2 pubs. i'd be up for a narin meeting.

Never heard of Narin either but I'm up for it - sounds like a good spot for a spin.

Anyone have any dates in mind? It would probably have to be soon enough before the icy northern winter kicks in (I'm told that's sometime in September in Donegal..... although maybe I'm just being an ignorant Dub ) confused2

i hadn't really thought of a date and any date i'd make sure that it didn't clash with anything major.

i wouldn't really be able to get across before the end of the summer holidays, and i have GCSE's this coming year, so about how would next summer as a rough estimate?
