I havent been able to locate any of these.. anyone know where I could find these? I know they have them in flashlights and pens.. I was wondering where I could find just the leds?

Ive seen a site with both uv LEDs and somehow UV glowsticks. Ill do some googling and see if i can pull anything up for ya. later though, im building one of these right now. :P

Ive seen them at a Radioshack near me and Ive seen them on the Luxeon website.

Is this so you can get a tan at night while spinning?
I don't know about everyone else but for me looking at a UV\blacklight is irritating. I love UV reactive stuff but not the light. I suppose you could find creative things to do with UV lights and UV reactive materials on poi or staff but using it as a direct light source would drive me nuts.

thx guys...
and mtbeer.... its not meant to be a direct light source.. not for what I'm using it for anyway.. wouldnt that be a bit dangerous anyway.. I mean someone catches a glimpse of the led and it burns their retina or something..

Hehe, fortunately, the LEDs are fairly low power - you'd probably have to stare at them for a while for them to cause any serious harm!
