How can one be good at zippos?

Do you mean zippo tricks? That stuff is funky smile

The cost isn't to bad really. We were quoted £12.50 for a 12" x 4" plaque in two colours.
As for the material I'm not sure as to the exact science behind it but the way the guy was discribing it they can do it on almost anything.

Could somebody stop the room please... I'd like to get off

Well, I know I'd buy a HoP zippo; as long as it was one of the upper wnd one...the low end ones just break....:(

Actually, I just bought an "ID" zippo...it's sooo cool...

What do you mean "high end zippo"? Zippo uses the same design for all their refillable lighters, except the butane ones, of course. Plus they'll fix them for free if you break them.

ahh, but you can get cheper ones, as opposed to the "£24.99" ones...

AND you can get the larger, original ones that DON'T break at the hinges.

All you're buying is the finish in the more expensive ones. If the hinges break, you send it in, they replace it, you go away happy. I've had mine for two years and it the hinges have yet to break.

Well, that is most likely because poi is not actually very popularily known sadly. If there was a Poi Zippo, that would indeed be awesome, and I know i would buy it. HoP could definetely market there own zippo style lighter or mini blow torch, that would make a fair amount of money!

I'm gonna cut you up so bad, you gonna wish I ain't cut you up so bad.

after purchasing the lighters, getting them all customosed, and packaged, shipped and so on, it might not be as cheep as you think

else, mal would have source it by now

as there is a whole series of things to think about...

Yesterday I saw sheets of sticky acetate for printing on (clear acetate with a sticky side and a printable side) being sold off cheap in PC World. Maybe the anwser is self modding Zippo's ??

imho, it would look much cooler if you brought it into a shop to get it laser etched... well, at least much cooler than acetate sheets smile

well, personally i think with a HoP member list of over 35 000 you could probably get Zippo to release an official HoP Lighter. Especially if it was marketed and pubilised as a "safe and responsable use of fire" kinda thing.
