I still think that the bunsen lighters would be the best to use. How can Zippos be called windproof if you can blow them out? umm

The point of the bunsn lighters being too hot for a wick brings up two points:
What is the temperature of the bunsen flame, compared to how hot the wick gets when on fire?
If you believe that using a bunsen on your wicks will damage them, can you not just move the lighter round so it doesnt concentraate the heat in one exact place, but will still set the paraffin on fire.

I also reckon having "www.homeofpoi.com" or "homeofpoi.com" on the lighters would be good, if they do indeed get made up, and its free advertising for Malcolm and that cant be a bad thing.

Nice work there Mech hug2

it would be ever so coolio
i reckon it'd be a cool thing that if you ever happen to be at a random meet you could, by chance bump into a HoPer through recognition of the lighters.

I would totally %100 buy a HoP zippo, but not a butane lighter.

Perhaps we could do a poll.

well

so far we have

hope you like them, comments and critism welcome.

Hmmm none of the images came up for me.....

But in general a black lighter would not seem like such a good idea cos they are easier to use. Chrome with a colour HoP logo and no writing would be my fave....

And firey man is good too. Have a range.. they will sell!

Posted:Going back a bit,

The bunsen lighters aren't really gonna damage your wicks much at all really are they? I mean, you only want to light the fuel, not hold it there until your wick is burnt to a crisp... and if you light one partof the wick, surely the rest of it will follow on it's own, without the use of a lighter any more?

But, yes, the Zippos do look better when you pull one out of your pocket for lighting cigarettes in bars, but, like UCoF said, it's not really windproof if you can blow it out, now is it?

Actually, I think you'll find that the Zippo corperation makes butane lighters of that description. wink
