I have a few, depending on which aspect of my life you mean.

John Pilger and Robert Fisk, from a journalistic perspective.

Elliott Smith, John Frusciante, Billy Corgan from a musical one.

As for poi and staff, I have so many. A quick list (and by no means a complete one) would include: Ben-ja-men, Strugz, Ninja Dave, Oli, Frodo, Bluecat, Meg and BamBam. This list could go on and on for days, so PLEASE don't be offended if yer not on it.

And for life generally, there is noone i look up to more than the late William Melvin Hicks. (Biiiiiiiill!)

Yuo admire different people for different things. I wouldn't say i have a hero but i do have influences from a variety of people, mainly close friends.

Damn the addictiveness of forums! (Or should it be addictivity?)

Everyone who has ever promoted and inspired peaceful protest in the face of death, inequality and oppression. Think Gandhi, Martin Luther King e.t.c.

Also all the people who have been through hell but still know how to smile. Quite a lot of people, really!

If I had to name one hero I'd say Danny Carey. I look up to lots of other people though.

You gotta admire anyone who can put up with you. wink

I don't know if I have any specific heroes. There are usually just parts of people's lives that I admire and a majority of their lives I know nothing about.

Never really thought about that. Then again, maybe only admiring positive portions of your role model's lives is heathier than holding them up to impossible standards.

Well, shall we go?
Yes, let's go.

Hunter S Thompson - author of such books as Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Rum Diary. A man who truely took life by the horns. Or something. Whatever life has in place of horns.
