Ta very much Hellz.. I'm putting in an order tonight for the bits and bobs to make prototype 3. Half the number of batteries and therefore, half the weight and half the height! With a bit of cunning thinking, the part that's at the end of the cone should end up about the same size as a regular fire-poi wick!

You and me both LostSurfer smile They are progressing - I'm in the middle of a major hardware over-haul, but if that works out the way I'm hoping it will, going public may not be so far in the future!

Any idea how much (if/when you go public) the price bracket would broadly be? nothing specific but like sub-£50? £50-100? £100+? (god i hope not).
I'm looking to get a set of glowies but I wanna hold back for a bit and see what develops.

I know hardware can be very expensive... the horror when i heard how much polarity's prototypes cost eek but they were awesome biggrin

I'm aiming for < £100. Ideally, around the £50 mark, but that's pure speculation - I have no idea how much they'd cost in reality!

I watched that vid again a minute ago (I've not seen it in a while) and it's amazing how much the hyperlights and even my own spinning have changed since we shot it! I can't wait to show you guys what's in store for the next prototype biggrin

bounceNEW VIDEObounce

After many hours sitting on skype bending the ears of the ever patient Jon and Yakumo I can happily present this belated Christmas present of the Mk4 Hyperlights video.

As you will see, the prototype units (provided by Jon) are housed in a lovely white set of Hyperloop socks (purchased and provided by me wink). This was shot back in late summer- much more to report since then, but this will have to keep you going biggrin

PLEASE NOTE:

Spinning is this vid was spontaneous and not intended as 'performance' footage. The aim of our play was simply to see what the new units were like both to look at and to spin. Crits ideally should relate to the toys and not to the quality of the spinning smile

CREDITS:

Spinning by Chutney and Hyperlight

Shot by: Hyperlight and Chutney

Edited: Chutney

Made to look soooo much better under the supervision and extreme patience and technological know how of: Yakumo (F***ing hero- video advice on Christmas eve when I was drunk) and Jon. I really can't overstate this (particularly Fraser hug)

Enjoy biggrin

*grin* ...well worth the wait - thanks very much to:

Chutney: For general encouragement, spinning my lovely toys, lending me his DV camera, editing and producing the vid.

Yakumo: For his ninja video editing skills and seemingly bottomless pit of patience!

Me: For making those lovely toys wink

Seriously guys, sh*t hot video. Does you proud.

I'm liking the look of the tails. I'm assuming those are the tails you showed me Jon? I'd like to help you explore that direction as well if you're up for it!

Well Done.
