I finished making a tri-sectional staff today... I'm getting a little worried about my addiction to making toys. ubblol

Does anyone have any tips/tricks/things to recommend for using it?

It also doubles as a pair of fire chucks if I don't use the centre piece. eek

Here's a pic...

If you do a [Old link] there's a few threads with a bit of info on tri-section staffs.

Option B is book a ticket to visit Bender's universe, which I understand is a very weird place and involves the occasional tri-section staff.

Thanks, but I searched and found only a few threads, which didn't really have any useful info. Most suggested different styles of martial arts. Besides, I had to post the pic somewhere. wink

Is this your first one?

Just remember that just because you stopped one end, *does not* mean you have stopped the other.

In my martial arts career I've trained with litterally hundreds of diffirent weapons, and three section was hands down the most painful to learn.

It was never my favorite fire toy though, especially with the more traditional staff moves, the articulation tends to make it look and feel jerky unless you're spinning hella fast, although there is a whole miriad of other options that are a lot of fun to play with, but I have other toys that I can get that fix with that are a lot less painful when I screw up, lol.

Yeah, it's my first one. I've played with one a little bit before though.

Thanks for the advice. I plan on keeping a helmet handy when learning some moves...

the handling is totally alien when you wick the ends.
you have to learn it again when it's changed that much.
there is a video of it in COL 5.
*reminder that next COL compilation cutoff date for entries are due sooooon!!

Thanks Bender, I'll get COL5 next time I have the money. Is the tri-sectional staff in any of the other ones?
