We've had a thread about beautiful songs...so why not sad songs?

I'm just curious as to what songs you listen to when you're feeling sad, lonley, soppy etc... songs that help you 'cope' kind of thing.

May I suggest a couple:

Come To Nothing - Evermore

Nothing Compares to you - Sinead O'Connor

1000 Oceans - Tori Amos

.All things are beautiful if we take the time to look.

Too true smile (Can't believe I forgot thoses!)

I just didn't want to list about a dozen metal songs, I'm too much of a metal freak at times

(gotta love Sanitarium biggrin & "One" at full volume)

& then there's slower songs like Testament's trail of tears, Judas Priest Victim of Changes.....

wooooo chill, i got my roots in metal music but i really prefer dance these days,

i used to lisen to bands like:-
ANTHRAX (nearly got every picture disc on vinyal)
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE
IRON MAIDEN (number of the beast)
BLACK SABBATH (best of, but like war pig and iron man)
MOTLEY CRUE (helter skelter)
AC/DC (razors edge)
FEAR FACTORY (t-1000 my fave)
-----------------------------------------------

no i love my hardcore, especialy.......
"i'm takin' on religion, or religions takin' me.
now there's only one thing, and this one thing it sets me free.

listenin' to my music, the escape to keep me sain. with an over loaded bass line which go's straight to my brain.

i push up on the volume till it's crystal clear and loud, my body starts to tingle just by listening to the sound.

nothing else can feel the same or hits the spot so fast."

or.....
you can not run you can not hide, nothing can stop it as it grows inside.

it takes over your mind as day turns into night, from dusk through to dawn, untill the first ray of light.

you can not explain it, as darkness decends it feeds on your soul!

no longer affraid so no longer you fight, addicted....turning into a creature of the night!!!

I didn't mean I'm only a metalhead. Yeah I love metal but I also love trance, house, rock, blues, dub, alternative.... I go for all sorts. I just don't look at alot of as "sad songs" that's all. Sorry if you took my post to mean I'm single minded when it comed to music (too much drink hehe)

Anyways, metal isn't exactly the best to fire dance with ubbrollsmile

I used to do a show to Fear Of The Dark. It's quite good, you can coordinate so you get a bit of a rest in the quieter bits
