Its called an orbital and is similar to an air wrap. Without going into detail (since its rather hard to explain) you wanna tangle your strings from any chase pattern and pull.

This move is best done with glow sticks. Socks, fire, and the rest are usually a bit too heavy and the wrong shape to get it working properly, however, it is possible. Just do a tangled buzzsaw and pull the strings so your glow sticks are literally end to end. Doing that tightens the circle so that they spin extremely fast.
