Let's talk about beards.

I like them biggrin

What are your views? Do you have one? what is your favourite type (If you have a favourite)? do you want one but can't have one?

My friend has an awesome goatee with mustache thing going on: long chin hair (perfect for thoughtful stroking) and a 'tache that can curl at the ends!! I want one, it looks so much fun!!

At the moment, I have the 'Jazz Spot' (my fiancee didn't like the biblical look, but then, she hasn't seen this one on me yet)...

Anyways,

Let's talk about beards.

frown no spurlon Morlock style handlebar option.

My sister got married last month and so I had to shave my goatee off - but the week before i styled it into the above, which was much nicer than expected.

Yay to handlebars!! bounce2

I think it depends on the shape of your face and your eyes.

If you have stunning, sparkling eyes, the big unkempt look can work really well, but if you have glasses, maybe the little philosophers type goatee would look better.

I like beards biggrin

I'm personally not a fan of a mustache by itself on men I date (they can become too prickly and I've had them go up my nose when kissing which is NOT a pleasant feeling). Handlebar mustaches on older men with a belly though, I think look great.

A nicely trimmed beard on an older gentleman can look nice as well, but I'm not partial to them on guys under 40.

I think a goatee can look good on younger guys (under 40) but only if you don't have the double chin thing going. Then it's entirely ruined.

Yup, opinionated today, that's me. biggrin

Beards are great for keeping warm in winter and stopping sun burn in the summer. As someone who is lazy by nature, beards are simply a natural feature. As an offshoot beards apparently tickle vital areas wink

I'm not so keen on naked faces and moustaches on their own are just suited to old men IMO!

Every face is a different shape and some people suit beard styles that would make other people rediculous!

i can't go anywhere with my boyfriend with out people stopping him and praising his beard. Its not a completely full beard, the sides are kept neat and tidy with the main middle bit being long. :-)}

i loves my beard. i trim or shave it every now and then when i start to feel like a monkey but its usually somewhere between a gotee and totally unkempt. being able to pull on your beard when youre distracted or thinking is the awesome.

I like beards, or at least my own. I keep it pretty full, tho occasionally I have been known to sport a "saucy new summer do". The wifer doesn't like it to get too long, but one must be diligent if one is to keep one step ahead of entropy...

I'm clean shaven, Lou doesn't like it any other way. But i guess the long head hair makes up for it. I dont think i could pull off a beard or mustache as my face looks to young. I'm almost 22 and still get asked for ID and told i look 17

I have a beard! smile

After my sideys and goatee (chin only, no moustache) got so long they were pratically joined up I figured they may aswell be! I keep it trimmed so it doesn't get to unruly, it's only down the side of my face, along my chin line and into my goatee. Not silly thin lines or anything tho, about an inch or so wide.

I think it suits me, well I hope so anyway! ubblol

I like beards but I don't know how folks who kiss blokes deal with them, they do tickle lots on the other persons face! umm

Let's relight this forum ubblove

mmm.... beards ubblove

as long as there's no food stuck in them, or yucky yellow stained bits from smoking

i'm more for the full beard than the goatee, preferably with dreads down to his a.rse

moustaches on their own are dreadful though, unless of course you're Salvador Dali. otherwise they remind me of 70's porn stars....

But that's beside the point! biggrin

I have a beard which is about #2 length using clippers. No moustache, and no hair on my neck/under my jaw. The hair at my chin is about 1"... just the right length for stroking thoughtfully. Beards rule! I shaved all of mine off a few months ago... Not going back. I love my beard. ubblove

from the very first day when I got three straggly hairs on my chin I knew it was my destiny to have a goatee so I didn't shave my chin until I was 22, I had this hideous thing growing underneath my chin, I used to pull on it so much that I now have a slightly wobbly underneath my chin bit

I eventually shaved it off and Kept that little triangle underneath your lip thing

but let it be a warning stroking to much makes your chin go funny
