Ice-E FyreStorm uses these two fuel based candle lighters, dubbed the BIG RED CANDLES, when lighting toys!

Stevo, Bun and I bought them at a second hand store, I have absolutely NO idea what kinda shop would sell these!

Note: that ring is the only piece of jewelry i wear that never comes off (mainly coz i'll rip the skin off my thumb) technically it should. And yes it does get in the way sometimes.

Are those glass or metal?

On first glance they look just like little decorative oil lamps.

It seems to me you could make something similer out of plumbing parts at your local hardware store. It wouldn't be as pretty, but you could even add something like a really thick piece of wire so you could stick it in the ground for a community light.

At our local spin someone brings along a little kero lamp.
like the big bamboo pole ones but only little.

Great for lighting toys.

I use a similar type of thing. I use a thick glass jar with a brass fluted top with a hole in it just big enough to put fire rope through. I havent tested the total burn time but it is in excess of 30mins (how long a fire show normally lasts for me).

I have only tried it with parafin in outdoor shows. If you are a professional performer you have to have some kind of constant light about. There is nothing more unprofessional than flashing a lighter at your equipment when you have an audience.

The candles you use look pretty cool only thing I dont like about them is they dont look like they can stand upright without assistance.

I've found the outdoor tiki lamps work excellent. Fill them up with some cheap kero and you've got at least 30 minutes of burn time or use citronella for a large outdoor burn, or lamp oil for indoor burns. They give decent light and a great way to light wicks, and add to the atmosphere
