Hi guys,
here's a little post to let you all know about a little weekend down the irish countryside in early july put together by the collaborative efforts of all involved and me on the phoneo for hours on end
On July-9th-2005 in Birr Co.Offaly the Birr Theatre and Arts Centre will host the newest flip-flop production...a night to tell the grandkids about...its the
Flip-Flop Fantasmagoria -+-with scratchin sounds from DJs Deviant&Jimmy (3-deck showcase,Galway)-+-
-+-Acrobatics (Jambo brothers, East Africa)-+- Modern-Glo-Dance (as seen on Australian T.V.)-+-The slide show (a silent move juggling show from Te-Pooka's Ewan Colsell and Veronique Provencher)-+-Circudelic ('the new sheet' by Mariosa and Aengus,Galway+Denmark)-+-and whats this?...ACTUAL ROUTINES by the boys of Flip-Flop(Glo-Poi, 1&2Diabolos,and some staffisms perhaps)-+-JP on the DJ battling puppet(Canada)-+-all a\ved over with projection from Eyedrenalin ( last years audio-visuals for Aphex twin no-less!!)-+- all rounded off with a night of festivities including Games, a RENEGADE STAGE, and sounds into the night at the FF-AfterParty in an,as-yet undisclosed location...
So get your camping gear sorted and keep in touch with us for updates and booking details at flipflopproductions@hotmail.com
p.s tickets cost 12euros for jugglers spinners dancers and carnies of all descriptions, the parties free with food for sale, and the following day there'll be an open-circus-sunday in either the local park or the castle gardens with more music food and fun for all

Just thought I'd say that based on the people organising this, it's going to be fantastic.

Don't know about anything else, but I'm sure you'll see some lovely spinning, and the crack will be great. Ewan and vero's show is lovely, with some eyeboggling CJ and mindwarp diabolo, the flipflop boys do some beautiful poi, scarily dynamic diabolo and rather sneakily do confuzzling doublestaff... and not to forget the circudelic peeps, although I've got no idea what they'll be doing, they do good things....

Wish I could go!

im going to just squeze my way in here now.. i thought that the fantasmagora thing i had heard about would be a few yokels in birr throwing stuff at eachother, but from the sounds of things its a little more than that! only kiddin emhin.

i can say fairly safely that myself and helene will both beattending the festivities on the 9th, it'll be good to keep the summer burning madness going. you missed a stonker in tara hill, im sure you'll be getting more than enough details when evryone congregates in birr.

see you soon emhin

emhin, you make reference to camping, is there a pre arrnged site for camping or is it up to the individual camper to find adequate square meterage to put up a tnt?

Well as far as the camping reference goes, my mother doesn't know yet but i'm sure she'll understand--so theres plenty of room in the garden with a river to keep the beers cool and a bar-b-Q for early-morning brekky or mid-night delights oh and not to mention lovely flowers and such...
Guys I hope you had a ball in Tara, um...tutut...i Know you did, sure werent the Gods sending thuderous flashing smiles across the night skies to greet you!! ubbtickled
So I'll email the rubber hearts now...wish me luck...

Or alternatively, make sure you stop and say hi to Mio and Pat in Bangkok. They sell poi in the backpacker area near Koh San Road.

They're very, very good - and really friendly people biggrin

that's exactly what i said. but waving metal sticks about on top of the highest hill in the region was hardly the cleverest idea during a lightning storm rolleyes

i personally would love to be hit by lightning but don't want to be responsible for the cremation of 30 others ubbloco

see you on the 9th sweetie hug
