okay so i was happily flicking though one of my magazines when i happend upon a lovely item of clothing, i have seen them before in shops but never had the pennies to buy them, but now i really really really really want them but i dont know what the b@*$dy things are called!! they are like a big knitted sock/boot with a flat leather sole.

if anyone out there has any idea what im describing please let me know

ooh i think i know what you're on about, the shop i used to work in sold them, can't remember what they are called....give me a while whilst my brain tries to remember back a few years!

ok, i've been racking my brains and having a look around the net and i stillcan't remember.

If you are talking about what i think you are they are we used to have them in the shop i worked which was a hippy shop with loads of ethnic clothing etc and i think the design originates from native north americans

I'll pop in there tomorrow and see if they still have them smile

Not that I shop in newlook very often, but I saw recently some fluffy socks in there that have a buckle across the top, didn't notice if they had any leather on the soles though.

Thank you, you two biggrin hug whenever i have seen them they were in hippy/ethnic shops, not sure about new look though wink (you know you are in there alllllll the time missie jem ubblol )

I only accidently tripped over and fell in there once apon a time i looked at the socks and then ecaped...........really i i did.........and may have baught a few bits and bobs..................... eek dammit!

yeah kinda but they're knitted on the top,i have looked on the net calling them moccasins but hasnt turned anything up yet, but thank you smile
