i like the town of hotashell (hot-as-hell)... except in summer!

There is also a 'Zulu clan nammed' town called Maphumulo, which basically translates to 'place of rest'

The ultimate tho, is the little farm town of:

tweebuffelsmeteenskootmosdoodgeskietfontien

twee=2; buffels=buffalo; met=with; een=1; skoot=bullet; mosdood=really dead; geskiet=shot; fontein=spring!

*alot of afrikaans places end with fontein, to do with water, as they were all built near water sources. This place some bloke shot 2 buffalo with one bullet, and hence the name! I don't think there's a place in the world with a longer name!

We have a:

a town called Hell
a town called Climax
a town called Banghor (which I like to pronounce like bang her)

and everyone's fave: Exit 69- Big Beaver Road (I'm NOT kidding!)

I teach Spanish- and my students' fave is always- Lake Titicaca!

FUN QUESTION :-)

I can vouch for it. Big Beaver Road is Quarton road west of Woodward Ave. However, when it hits I-75 it is, indeed Exit 69.

Also, Ann Arbor has a Hiscock street. It intersects Gott (german for God) St. A friend of mine (who is gay, by coincidence) lives on the corner of Gott and Hiscock.

Michigan's fairly northerly isn't it?

So wouldn't this town called Hell have frozen over at some point? smile

Gononondaga
Chittnengo (pro: Sh!t-nen-go)

and who can forget the ever favorite..

Lake Titicaca ubblol
