ok well its confirmed.

IVe booked the date in, and so now we have a lovely big Hall with a Kitchen and toilet block, along with a big ass campign area and flat area to use for the weekend! sept 30, Oct 1, 2 and 3. Its in a beautiful location only 5 minutes from the closest Public Transport and Supermarket, or 25 minutes by car from the Adelaide GPO. We can arrange transport to and from the site from the Bus stop given a bit of notice.

We've also bought a big ass markee to use as a 2nd learning area if the workshops get too big to fit in the hall.

I was thinking we could also have a bit of a party on the saturday night if people were able to chip in for a PA...

so yeah - if you are interested in something or doing something else - say so!

and yes - there will be a large campfire, and a big fire spin.

Can I be an absolute pain in the bum and just ask for the details, ie dates, location etc? I don't have time to wade through all the pages, I got as far as pages 1, 47 and 48, and couldn't find it!!

In SA that Monday is a public holiday for Labour Day. In WA it is a pub hol for the Queen's Birthday. (She has her birthday in June in Qld) In Vic it isn't anything (you chaps have a day off for a horse race some time later instead.) In Qld, we have Labour Day when it's supposed to be.. May 1st, and nothing in October. But then we pretty much take time off when we feel like it anyway (says she who works from home)

Good thing we have some *common ground* about something!

grrrr, I have never had Melbourne Cup Day off! Because I lived in Geelong, my school didn't recognise it! And now I'm at a university and we don't get it off cos it's not a national holiday! And for that matter, we don't get labor day or queens birthday off either cos they arent national ones!!

uni is bleeding me dry....

for airfares, check out www.virginblue.com.au between 12pm -1pm AEST for happy hour airfairs. the destinations available vary from day to day, but if you check it for a few days your destination will normally turn up. i picked up a $69 each way flight to brisbane recently.

You'll need to apply for a permit from adelaide city council for busking petey, so you might wanna make sure you give a bit of notice with that one (you know how councils are)...

Umm, i just tired to get on their website, but it doesn't seem to be working at the moment the address, however is www.adelaidecitycouncil.com

Rougie, i think you need a permit for huggeling too tongue
