cool - that's my two challenges (one old, one new) that you should have completely nailed by uberpoi then biggrin

i'll have to think up a better one that will take you longer to get now rolleyes

btb 5bt weave into double trebla, 270 pirouette, catch in btb ww position so that the first beats are the carries.

i know that's all just poi juggling but if anyone can attempt it, its probabloy you - everyone else has got two years ubblol wink

cole. x

p.s. i found out last night that throwing and catching poi into and out of isolations is a lot harder than it sounds/should be...

or maybe its finally time i invested in some handle-end weights...

right.
nailed the ww pirouette to ww the other side(and to think i'm supposed to be making a video!) but it is muuuuch easier sametime than split time, so i think i'll have challenge 2 by next week.
challenge 1 i don't remember...? help?

challenge 3: 5btbtb into double trebla is ok, but the double trebla into a full pirouette is hard enough, let alone 270degrees. hmmm.(runs off to practise single treblas into pirouettes...)

are we off topic yet?

waaaaaay off wink

challenge 1 was: full (same-time) btb bf ww.

challenge 2 was: an isolated btb ww but replacing carries with a front wallplane throw to other side with a pirouette under the throws.

challenge 3 was: btb 5bt weave into double trebla, 270 pirouette, catch in btb ww position so that the first beats are the carries.

and if challenges 2 and 3 seem too easy, you can make them 'proper' ( wink ) by converting to split-time butterfly versions - i.e. spin exactly the same moves but with poi spinning in opposite directions.

but cole, full btbbfww by your definitionelsewhere must be split time. or at least thats how i understand it(and spin it, on todays evidence).

so

1: can do, split, and badly same
2: can do if poi are same time(just got it twice)but not split
3: aargh.

challenge 1:
ubblol lazy cat making challenges easier for himself by not reading my posts...

read the whole of the first post on the proper btb bf ww thread - i mention that the split-time version is the completely analogous version but the same-time version is the real killer.

in fact, its one of the first things i say:

Written by: coleman

if you take a standard btb waistwrap and reverse the direction that one of the poi is spinning in, you get a butterfly waistwrap.

that move, spun same-time is the killer.

i go on to say that i can do one cycle of it but that its the carries that kill my planes and prevent me from doing it repeatedly or turning with it.

if you get to the point where you can do a few cycles btb or do a full ww like this (front linked with back) i reckon you'll have it nailed.

challenge 2:
same-time?
are you doing weave or bf?
if its weave it should blatently be splitime - who does a parallel ww once they've learnt them? wink

challenge 3:
tongue

nah, like roots manuva wink

1. but!
same time is NOT a proper analogous bf version of the ww. if you go to same time then you are not just changing the direction of one of the poi, but also its timing. so. imo i've done 1.

2: thats why i said i couldn't do it split. i'll practise but i reckon i'm at least on the way.(oh, and 'me' is your answer; i relly like sametime ww)

3. maybe uberpoi2?

then you say:

but!

same time is NOT a proper analogous bf version of the ww.

you crazy man... rolleyes

1: like i said, if you change the challenge, it doesn't bloody well count!

the split-time version was never as hard as the same time and the thread i pointed you to said so.

i could do the split-time version far more intuitively back when i posted that thread - it was the same-time (butterfly-time) version that stumped me and just about every other spinner i presented it to.

just cos you can't be bothered to read it and can do what you thought you'd read more easily, doesn't mean you've completed the challenge rolleyes

i could run 27 metres of the london marathon and think i'm finished because i misread the word 'miles', but it doesn't mean i get to claim first prize and a marathon certificate does it...?

you're just a big blue cheater tongue

2: again, sorry - not the move described by the challenge.

you're just trying to rush things and claim partial uberness in the face of something you can't do yet - you'll have it one day.

3: since i'm never going to go for that stuff, all i want is to see someone spinning it one day - i'll be happy.

if you get it by uberpoi 2 (or within two years) i'll be more than happy smile
