Hehehe I shouldn't be so slack. I guess its just an ongoing rivalry thing between Queenslanders & New South Welshman. I hear the spinning scene is pretty healthy there though especially compared to Sydney. Good Luck. You should check out this website:

yay! thanks, folks! biggrin hug

main reason i'm coming over is following my heart.. this wonderful feeling of love, which transcends all boundaries (even the physical one...)....

phaerie.

other, associated reasons:

there are too many acupuncturists in wellington for the number of folk living here, and from what i hear, brisbane is 10 times the size of wellington, and has about the same number of acupuncturists, so there are far better job prospects over there for me.

the weather. wellington is so cold and wet and windy. i've never lived somewhere warm before. i went for a holiday in bris at the end of 03, and was suprised when the wind blew and it was WARM!! never felt warm wind before..

the nature! i love plants and am real excited by the diversity of the flora over there.. all those rainforests and stuff! so so sweet! and associated with this, is: the fruit! yay! mangoes! yay! avocadoes! yay! all the other fruit! yay! yum! yay!

valura: damn straight! hippie and meditator and spinner and healer and and and.... all rolled into one. look forward to meeting you and yours, sweetie! let us new zealand those australians! oh yeah! biggrin

gita: for sure i'd love to come to july moonfest.. but even if i cant, i'll definitely be there for augusts! sweet! nothing better than group spinning. (well, there is, but this is an all-ages thread, after all...) wink

yay for hug divides! i LOVE hugs!!! even if they need to be divided.. after all... share a problem to halve it, share love to double it! so.. i consider hugs to be part of love, so if you divide a hug, there is more! so.. yay for hug divides! hug

anyway! yay!

hug

In other Brisbane news.. Today it hailed like crazy. Solid for at least 30 minutes too. Never seen anything like it. The streets are all white and the following happened in half 15 minutes
-a car trying to get up a 30m hill couldn't get any traction and kept slipping back. He eventually gave up after 15 mins
-a big holden floored it and somehow ended up doing pirouettes
-some accident down the street.. police and ambulance and all..

Marble sized, maybe 4 fingers deep..

Meanwhile, welcome to sunny Brisvegas cool

I wish that I lived in Brisbane.

This place is the pits, nobody at all is friendly. Interesting people are incredably difficult to locate, and conservatives are a majority. eek

Good luck man!
