Leave the rest of UK-planning til after that cos you'll get so many ideas and offers and suggestions while you're there that your plans will change anyway

Sounds like fun...I will be in the UK for two years then france for another one and we intend on travelling a fair bit so I am sure that I can make it to Cambridge sometime during that period.

yeah it's lovely when it's sunny, and there's lots of big open spaces there (though not quite on the scale of Oz tho). Lots of nice architecture, if you're into that kind of thing
