A 6' staff!
They're interesting to use but difficult to keep the momentum going with the length an'all, although it would depend on the weight.....
I too am hoping to have some new toys for this venture, now all I need is a bigger bag to fit them all in....hmm.....

I've been checking out power sources, and come to the conclusion that a small generator is cheaper than the alternative car battery/charger/inverter combo.

I'm just wondering what the campsite policy for generators is, as some can be noisy.

I've found one that's nice and quiet, and just need to know before I fork out for it.

Might come in handy for anyone else needing to charge batteries for LED poi, phones, cameras etc.

As for the rules on genes im not too sure - last time we had the field to ourselves as the site was shut.....this time it will be open and in season confused

Phone em i say or you could be waiting till the day before you leave for the answer smile

We don't need a generator..... thats going a bit over the top and will annoy anyone else there with its noise. Can people not live for 4 days without panicing about phones and other electrical gadgits??? Surely to God we can get by. Its only 4 days.

I can't do without power, as I'm bringing a laptop to program LED poi prototypes (mine and someone else's), just didn't want to mention that online. Also, I can only get 7 minutes of video on my camera, so need to download to computer regularly. I've looked at alternatives, and a battery/inverter/charger cost about twice as much.

I did say I found a quiet one. Quiet enough that it'll be drowned out by everyone talking, especially when I stick it on the end of a huge extension lead, behind a thick piece of foam, and preferably at the bottom of a ditch.

I remember someone saying all the hook-ups are booked by caravaners, and the barn is probably a bit too far to go every 7 minutes of filming.

Phones etc. not a problem, but batteries for super-duper-hyper-poi? Well that's a little different, and I'd wager you'll change your mind when we get there:
