Hey lovely lady you are coming to Falmouth. I gave Dave a 3 man tent on sunday to take back with him to Cornwall in readiness for all the people I promised sleeping spaces to. I'll be taking my 4 man down with me...... so that 7 people with somewhere to sleep if they need the space or..... if no one wants space you can get a 3 man to yourself! ubblol

I'm not reading that.

Latest development: We have a problem with the wood. We are currently getting quotes for getting a truckload delivered direct to the beach, but it could mean we have to charge a Falmouth entry fee for the first time ever. Probly in the region of £2-3. Anyone care?

Ok then.... (deep breath)

After hearing from the ever-lovely Rob that I made it onto the Uberpoi list

(bounce woohoo bounce), and that the minibus sadly ain't happening... I've spent all afternoon online trying to see if there's any way I can possibly afford a round-the-UK trip biggrin

Basically, no, I can't... but why let logic (or the DHSS) stand in the way of a good time?!

So it goes something like this:

One way coach trip from Belfast to Edinburgh: £11(or so)

Uberpoi: Cost £25 (deposit paid smile)

Edinburgh to Bristol with Easyjet (Wed July 20): Cost £22.99

Hopefully staying at my friend's house on Wednesday night.

Begging, pleading and generally hoping for a lift from Bristol to Falmouth on Thursday/Friday...

Falmouth Entry Fee (eek biggrin): Cost: £3

Falmouth Camping Fee: Cost: £16

Begging, pleading and generally hoping for a lift from Falmouth to Bristol on the Monday.

Flying from Bristol to Belfast with Easyjet (Mon July 25): Cost £45.

Cost of round the UK trip: Priceless biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin biggrin

So then, Skully, if I can take one of your lovely tent spaces that would be marvellous biggrin

And anyone travelling from Bristol to Falmouth and back (particularly the splendid SDLW)... if you still have room in your car?!!!!

Looking forward to seeing all you crazy peoples soon hug

I think that the camping fee is per tent, not per person.

So if you fill your tent with as many people as possible, it'll be cheaper

Ok, flights are booked... SDLW, I decided just to go ahead and hope that all would turn out well... I didn't want to risk the prices doubling overnight or anything unpleasant like that.

So... take care and I'll see you all soon biggrin

Hello.

Pricklyleaf and I are considering coming along too (sorry about not posting sooner, but I really wasn't sure about what was happening).

I realise it's getting a bit late to start asking, but I was just wondering if anyone could offer lifts from/to Exeter or Bristol? Flights aren't booked yet, so we're pretty flexible about the where and the when.

Any assistance would be muchly appreciated. smile

Hey guys, looks like I can't come as can't afford the huge fare from uberpoi to Falmouth and back to Glasgow, and then down to Yorkshire a few days later, plus I don't want to spend the whole of my life traveling! I was looking forwards to meeting you all, but I guess it will have to wait till next time. Don't think 486 will come either. ubbcrying
