Already bought some sweet ass water pistols, got a couple of meters of rubber tubing that would make a great funnelator, and if anyone wants to play at pirates I'm up for hiring a sailboat for an afternoon. Arrrrr!

Oh, and number one origami lesson will be water bombs biggrin

My God, this is sounding even more fun than it did in the first place, and it sounded good enough when it was just "people doing spinning". Now we have all this really cool stuff as well! Projectile weapons! Water stuff! Birthdays (lots of them)! Elastic Bands! Pirates! I haven't had this sense of anitcipation since my 16th Birthday and I went paintballing for the first time ever!

*In desperation invents a time machine so I can be there already!!!!*

Oh yeah, and Irish people rock, really ace people man...

Oh God, why can't it be July already!!!!! Get on with it!!!

After much consideration, I find that the view is worth the asphyxiation.

Or white card and paint. Which could get a bit messy, but hey, that's what the sea's for, right?

Sailing? I love sailing, haven't done any for about 10 years though. Oh wait aminute, I get to go sailing in St Lucia! I shall be an expert by the time I get to Falmouth. Maybe. Ummm......... Course I'll also be jetlagged, so have no co-ordination and a total lack of spatial awareness. That could be amusing - for everyone else at least! ubblol

Can we keep it realistic for those with little funding, like me, please?

The prices don't seem too bad, (link) and I'm sure there'll space for those without any funds, if they don't mind pulling ropes, bailing and doing other crew type stuff. It's more fun sailing with a full crew, as you can yell the Hawaii-Five-O theme tune louder, this being a vital part of any racing strategy wink

I'd love to do some single handed racing, but it'd probably be better to go for Laser 16s, so more people can join in. Really depends on how much money I have by then. I'm not into huge things with cabins. The biggest thing I've sailed is a Wayfarer, and that was pretty scary. If the wind's strong I prefer to be in something I have a hope of getting upright after a capsize.

Dear Mr Durbin,

I am looking to go to Foulmouth, and was wondering whether there would be a space available in your car again?

I promise not to fall asleep on the way home this time, and I shall help you to stay awake also!! I will even provide petrol money! And a space in a tent if you don't want to take yours?

Anywho...

*looks at Durbs with big puppy-dog eyes that none can resist*

(I posted this on Firetoys, but realised you were on here more)

Shouldn't be a problem - I'm looking to leave on Thursday evening again, might try and share the lifts round a bit more so we have a bit more space - I'm not sure which other Guildfordians are coming, but we'll see. You should know by now I don't really do organising wink

Most awesome! thank you dude! Would've have replied earlier, but egypt is allergic to things like readily available internet (along with many other that we see as everyday essentials but they see as luxuries, plus it would have interfered with my sunbathing... biggrin

Organising? Never heard of that before... Oh, no, wait, that's the thing that makes events seem so straight forward and boring! I'll have less of that please!! wink

on the side of boats for sailing, i'd be interested and could probably put some money towards it if you were going to rent one or something, and i know how to sail a laser pico(is it?) if that helps... smile

Right, that's it, I'm in.
I've managed to book the time off work and spoken to the nice lady at Tregenda Farm who informed me that I didn't need to book in advance of all I wanted was a pitch for my tent. Does that sound familiar to others? I also enquired about the having our own field (which I'm sure I read in here somewhere) however this particular person was not aware of this arrangement although more than happy to arrange such. Could it be that i mis-read something somewhere (highly likely). If not it may be worthwhile confirming this option as the grass may need cutting!

Anywho, is anyone going to be travelling down on the Train from East Midlandsee area? I think my train will also be passing through Birmingham and Exeter type places, would be nice to travel with someone especially when it gets to the point of being in Truro and either waiting a couple of hours for the connection to Falmouth or finding an alternative route.

Right, that's about enough waffle for now. I think I've typed more here than I did at work today.........YAY! biggrin

I don't think its a good idea that we all individually ring Tregenda Farm as it could get a bit annoying for the lady there. smile

That seems like a good idea Skully, especially seeing as how she told me there wasn't really a need to book...unless you wanted a power pointy thingy but I think they're all taken now.

Have fun! yes, I think I can manage that....yes, yes I can manage that. I'll put an order in for some fun for that weekend, I hope they're not too booked out by now.........
