Anyone seen White Noise?

As an avid horror fan, I rented White Noise last night and wasn't disappointed.

Although it had the typical formula of a psychological horror with a psudo-predictable twist, it still made enjoyable viewing. I was left feeling fulfilled and not robbed of an hour and a half of my evening.

I think the use of everyday objects to invoke fear (my weakness is mirrors) and plausibility, make this a must-see movie.

Scare-factor = eekeekeekeekeek/10

Yeah. I saw it in the cinema, by myself, stoned... and was totally freaked out.

Thought it was marvellous.

Then I got it on DVD and was fairly disappointed. Puh. Was much better in the cinema rolleyes

Ah well.

That's true for most horror (if not all genres) films.

Unless it's a special edition DVD or something smile

I actually found myself looking up EVP this morning because there's a brief description at the beginning and end of the film and I was curious as to wheter or not it was indeed real.

Stunned (as I'm a sceptic - it's one of my missions in life to prove/disprove parapsychological theories as I consider myself open-minded enough and not to have any conflicting opinions on things like "do ghosts exist" or "out of body experiences" etc)

(again, just trying to impress the ladies - can't tell I didn't finish school can you?) ubbloco

While we're on the subject, who has seen the butterfly effect? Has the currently popular 'am i going mad theme' a la donnie darko... I thought it was excellent, and the shots of the kid at the beginning (with the knife) really make you jump!

Tomorrows World isnt on anymore...Does that mean its tomorrow now?

I like films where the lead dies or doesn't quite get the love interest.
I'm working on a story which won't comform to the normal formula of traditional stories (it's not as easy as it sounds!)
