I'll be pretty much staying in London the whole time I'm there because I work M-F 9-5, but any HOPers who want to make the pilgrimmage I'd love to see (but you can't stay with me, I'm afraid).

*BANG!*

I'm here.

And I'm fookin' EXHAUSTED. But I'm happy to be here.

I have a phone now...problem is I don't have a phone number yet. I need to take said phone home and plug it in to charge it.

Those of you who have send me your phone numbers can expect me to call (not "ring" dammit...and why is the quotation mark over the 2? The @ is supposed to be there! Silly European keyboard) you within the next several hours once I have that all up and running. For now, I need to do a bit of shopping.

I'm staying in Mitcham, Surrey. The family is very nice, although the accomodations are a bit shabby. I'm staying with two other medical students (from Taiwan).

And then I need to figure out what the details are about Clapham tomorrow. ubbrollsmile

Greetings Mr Lightning!

For your one stop, invaluable guide to transport around London, I reccommend this website. It contains all the information you're likely to require about tube, trains, busses, trams and things. But not badgers frown

For detailed train information National Rail is the way to go.

Which station at Mitcham are you closest to?

From having a brief look, take a train from Mitcham Junction to Balham (on the Northern line) then Clapham Common is a couple of stops away on a northbound tube. The train fare from Mitcham to Balham seems to be £2.20 return and the tube I *think* seems to be costing around £4.20 return. But of course, if you have a travel card, then the fares are obsolete and as long as your card covers zones 1-4 you're going to be covered.

I'll PM my phone number to you, so if you need me to help anymore, just give me a yell smile
