And so, announcing the worst kept secret in history.

Uberpoi will almost certainly be held on the weekend of the 16th of July.

Teachers will be confirmed in the next few weeks. but don't you worry, they're going to be DAMN good.

price will be £45.
why the increase you ask?

because the uberstaff teachers were paid a very small amount, certainly not enough for the time they put in. and we would like to pay people a reasonable amount for their work. £45 is still very cheap when compared to most weekends of this type (approx £40 per day is the usual rate).

Accomodation will be fun to sort out, but i'm going to try to find a cheap location for all.

i am away in bristol for the next week, so will not keep you up to date until after i get back.

*invites excitement*

wink

much love

Mand....surely you could get a cheap advance return train ticket from Newcastle to Edinburgh if you can't find a lift?

Newcastle -> Edinburgh = 110miles

Newcastle -> London -> Edinburgh = approx 280 + 415 miles = 700 miles!!

700 miles each vs 110 miles each way....surely there must be as easier way?

Fair enough the megabus would only cost you £6.50 in total but it would be a 35 hour round trip without waits at stations for connections. That's a hell of a bus travel.

Yo Arashi,
I want to buy a set of you Arashi's-handmade worlds coolest wrist harnesses to replace my current poi handles
I can scan and send you my hand size. are you interested in custom making some for me?
Pretty please, I'll pay anything, Ineed the technology.
I think you might get a few more orders when you come over and folk see the technology.
If you can make them and post them before the weekend, so I can get used to them, that would be hot.

Oh yea, and I hope you're comming to visit the big smoke when you're here!!

Rightio, deposit paid, I'm going to Über-poi! Frodo, have you not booked your flights yet?

Reckon you can wait another few days? By then I should know for definite if I can go to uberpoi, and also how I'm getting there.

The 2 leading contenders are train (if my mum decides to take pitty on me and buy my ticket!) or 2bag's car.

Spitfire won't be coming. frown It'd be too goddam expensive for her to fly over for just the weekend. So there'll be no Frodo sandwiches. frown But I could always make a Frodo sausage roll, and wrap myself around you? biggrin

Oh, and thank you to everyone for looking into travel possibilities for me.

hug hug2 hug

I really wasn't what I was expecting when I arrived back home from a weekend away! biggrin

Argh!!! I can't make it... but y'all should have Uberpoi in North America at some point. I suggest Vancouver so that Meenik won't have to cross the border... though I'm also partial to the Bay Area.

Have a great time, though, guys... I'm looking forward to the videos!
