And so, announcing the worst kept secret in history.

Uberpoi will almost certainly be held on the weekend of the 16th of July.

Teachers will be confirmed in the next few weeks. but don't you worry, they're going to be DAMN good.

price will be £45.
why the increase you ask?

because the uberstaff teachers were paid a very small amount, certainly not enough for the time they put in. and we would like to pay people a reasonable amount for their work. £45 is still very cheap when compared to most weekends of this type (approx £40 per day is the usual rate).

Accomodation will be fun to sort out, but i'm going to try to find a cheap location for all.

i am away in bristol for the next week, so will not keep you up to date until after i get back.

*invites excitement*

wink

much love

I'm going to ask the same thing as a select few others...
I'm arriving thursday evening. I haven't figured out where to go or with whom I'm staying. anybody have any hints that will at least get me through thursday night without aimlessly wandering about the entire uk?

for the record, I'm an herbivore, though I didn't show up on the prior listS. I'd also like to file my application for the florence nightengale crew... I've got one banged up shoulder and one tweaked and frost bitten ankle (ask me to show you - it looks like I lost a fight with a gang of anklebiters)

thanks to anybody with hints and thanks to all, particularly rob, who are putting all this together.

It would certainly have helped me. What is it we're all meant to be doing on friday that seems to be buried in to dozen or so pages that got posted during the month that I was gone?

Anyone? please...

There will be the Weegies (Pricklyleaf, Gav486 and Sparky666), and of course Sunbird, and then we'll wait for Dunc and George (they're staying at Kat's) to call and walk up to Tesco so that we can all go to censored together. The Glasgow lot wanted to arrive between 6 and 7, so hopefully 8 should work out fine for everyone.

hey back in Glasgow from the lakes now. And thanks again Birgit for putting us up, looking forwards to meeting everyone so much. I'll apologise in advance as I can guarentee I won't remeber your names.

I'm also going to join the needing hosptalisation crew however. I just stood on/kicked a piece of broken glass today and cut my foot badly, never bled so much in my life. I hopefully will be able to stand on it properly for uberpoi as already hurt my ankle and leg from not being able to stand on it and s straining my muscles, from when I had to clean all the blood up.

anyway, can't wait see you all tomorrow! biggrin

hmm... don't think i have the full late 19th century expedition outfit (do have a late 19th century atlas, but its a bit too heavy to carry around), left my fishing hooks in england when i came to uni, and i'm not sure my disaster handbook deals with zombies...

think i should manage the poi though... wink

the equipment for getting to the pub is essential, Nate. You'll be staying at Kat's as well I think, so you may still need my 19th century expedition leader skills.
