So, I was just talking to another yo-yo player (hi Drew!) about the poi terminology for tricks and when I described air wraps, he mentioned The Venkman, which I'd totally forgotten about.
It turns out an illustration was put online for this, and it does indeed look like the air wrap that someone posted a video for. Perhaps this will help someone who's having trouble figuring it out:
