Firstly thankyou so much to all the awesome folk we met at Falmouth. biggrin

Mieke and i shall be bi cycling from Dover to Lands End, and from Lands End to John o Groats, going through Wales on the way, and would love to meet and play with as many of you as we can along the way.

We'll be in Dover from Calais on the 8th of July and i'm expecting we'll be riding for over a month.

Would love to meet you, learn your skills, learn in general, have fun, where possible borrow your showers smile and hope to make life long friends.

ok, cool, thanks heaps you peeps for replying coz we'd really love to meet as many people as possible and make this the most awesomest trip around the uk that it ever could be.
I may have to spend a short while in london to sort out a belgian visa, but this is what the ride is looking like at the moment

Dover - Hastings - Worthing - Southampton - Dorchester - Exeter - Plymouth - Falmouth - (lands end) Newquay - Launcheston - Tiverton - Glastonbury - Bristol - Cardiff - Brecon - Builth Wells - Llanidloes - Dolgellan - Porthmadog - Conwy - Liverpool - Lancaster - Windermere - Carlisle - Hexham - Newcastle - Berwick - Edinburgh - Glasgow - Brodick - Claonaig - Lochgilphead - Dalmally - Oban - Tobermory - Broadford - Loch Cluanie - Inverness - Lairg - Betty Hill - John O'Groats

so these are the overnight places at present, if you live at any of these, know anyone who does, can get to any of these, are inbetween any of these, near any of these then let me know, because that would be truly awesome

we also have to work our way back down, but as yet we're not sure what's happening, because if i can get a working holiday visa for belgium, we'll head back down and go there. We're gonna be so fit by the time we get up there, it'll rock.

please, let people know about this

can't wait to hear from you

I'd be well up for a spin, I work just outside of Newquay!

You know its gonna be damn busy in July right? half of the UK's yobbo's come down to get as lairy as they can for as long as they can! frown

But, having said that, its a lovely place, just make sure that you book well in advance for sleeping arrangements!

Right, obviously Falmouth isn't a problem, and if Launcheston means Launceston, that may not be a problem either. I'll mail you.

Thankyou so much for your replies, i know there are so many awesome places that aren't on this list, but we have so much land to cover. We will be riding back down from the land of the scots too, so maybe on the east coast, because it's flatter smile, and we'll be tired, but oh it's going to be so awesome.
As we want to do Scotland while it's a bit warmer, and we need to be thinking about our funds we unfortunately can not go absolutely everywhere, which is where we want to go, arg, what am i saying...
yeah sadly we can't go everywhere
This is the first bike tour we've done and we're super looking forward to it.
I'm afraid i'm about to get kicked off the net, but please keep in touch and i'll keep y'all posted.

The Wales stretch of the journey is lookin more and more like it could be destined for another time, still really want to do it, but there's so much to do and only limited money and time frown Curse you money... and time spank
just as an aside, has anyone checked out the new album from nine inch nails??? oh i love it, the song 'right where i belong' is definitely worth listening to, over and over and over biggrin
