woo leaving in 5 hours, gonna be there a bit early to chill-out and help setup stuffs. btw i'll have time-lapse cameras in every corner of the festival.. would like to get LOTS of people motivated to do some funny sequences in front of the camera.. like people trains.. happy faces.. everyone jumping, juggling, whatever in half-way sync, would be interesting to get all that on film yes yes biggrin

oh and any of yous is wanting some nice pics (i'll send 'em after the festival) come find the kangaroo with the striped tail juggling koosh balls and stand nearby wink

So...

Just left the EJC site after 11 days of hard slog in the rain (and a couple of days of much needed sunshine cool )

Thanks to all involved in the one workshop that i did make it to on Saturday - great job clap And thanks to Firenix for the many much needed hugs hug hopefully will see you at Bristol.

Apologies to all those that i know and didn't get to spin with, but i was crazily (sp?) busy all the time, and too tired to do anything when i wasn't working. I hope everyone had fun biggrin but i would be interested to hear all your comments/criticisms as feedback for next year. What was good, and what wasn't:? What could be changed?

What we have in mind is pretty different anyway, but still i want as much input as possible. If you prefer to PM me, that's fine too.

I'm off to Bled to chill out in another soggy field for a few days, so i probably won't reply to any comments for a while. Need to rest my weary bones meditate

I think Jules did a great job, he just had some bad luck with the weather frown - although this was handled very well by the free umbrellas, and allocated sleeping area. However there was only one hall which was a long way away, and while I was there, not open 24hours, this could have been better smile

I loved the idea of the fire garden, but never got to see it realised (I left before the sun came out!) Maybe there could be some way of erecting a roof high enough for safe fire-spinning even by sh!tty weather?

I don't know the exact count of people, but I think more people came than were expected (because EJC rocks whatever the weather ubbrollsmile ), maybe it was just due to the rain, but it was very crowded in all of the tents.

Despite some shoddy weather I still had a great time, as did most people I think - it was the EJC after all! Many thanks to Jules and his team, and all the volunteers. I hope I can make it to Ireland next year.
All the best with it Helen.

so, hope everyone had a good time, the weather has been pretty [censored].... i didn't quite get there... well when i say "quite", i actually mean, nowhere near (despite being less than two hours away by train....) because have been run off my feet here... so that's pretty crappy, thus i need my arse kicking into gear so i can get to ireland next year, tell me amazing EJC tales! biggrin

What a time I had there.
apart from the rain, and that was not to bad.
I learnt a lot, and saw some wonderful shows.

the best story I have, came on friday night.
I had a lot to drink. as had most of the people on the site (what wonderful people there were behind the bar beerchug) wink
well at 4 in the morning I decided to give it up and get some sleep.
when at about 6 in the morning the girl I had been chatting to all night (and plying with lots of drink angel2), decided to pay me a visit. biggrin
well my luck should have been in.
But if any of you that know me have seen me when I wake up early, you would know that I am not the most pleasent person to be around mad
all I could say to this beautiful girl that had just sliped it to my sleeping bag was censored WHAT DO YOU WANT!!!.
At that point she decided to turn tail and run frown
slap me with a wet fish.

oh well we live and learn.
better luck next time right.

Finally back home in Ireland after a deadly week or so. Even with the shitey weather, the buzz in the big tops was more than enough to keep me entertained...each one felt like a party every night.
I have to say that disgracefull I barely picked up any toys other than my poi for the week. That was some hardcore spinning!
Thank you to everyone I met and helped make the week as good as it was.grouphug
Olivier old chap, delightful to see you again and we'll have to meet up again soonhug.....I hear rumours of a dutch event wink
Andy, I hope your nose is reattached! That was some amazing spinning, I've been giving my self isolated brain cramp piroettes since i arrived home ubbloco. see you soon
Hey Claus, big thanks for everything during my stay in Graz, you're a star! smile look forward to bumping into you again.
This is going to take for ever so here's a supersupergrande hug for everyone.
Beautiful to see how fast poi is evolving and to be able to share in it.
hope to see ye EJC 2006 Ireland and before if possible bounce

doubt it, I was not at all hard core. Very squidgycore in fact. I stayed 2 days, lost my mac and went back to graz!

...but I spent most of my time in one blue and yellow tent either attempting to steve or fishtail my pois... with limited success... then tryed to get arashi to show me how he turns himself inside out (well that whst i think he was doing - something to do with inversions anyway)... kinda got cramp in my entire body and went to the therma smile mmmmmmm
