I've staffed (?) for a little while now and am looking into buying a concentrate staff. It's really nice that they are demountable, but what about build quality? Do they glap when spun? Anyone with experience from them? I want to know everything? Do they work for contact or just normal spinning?

And what about the mystec staffs (staves?)? www.mystec.de It looks a bit clumsy to me, with the ends being half as thick as the grip? Experience anyone?

Dude.....run a search....there is a bunch out there already.

And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?

Hot ashes for trees?

Hot air for a cool breeze? Cold comfort for change?

And did you exchange a walk on part in the war

for a lead role in a cage?

Okidoki, I´ve searched the forums before, but well, I could do it again. I just cannot seem to find anyone that actually owns a concentrate staff. Anyone?

The Mystec staffs look lovely and high tech, but that rubber finish gets hellish slippery if you get any fuel on it.

I would avoid them.

A lot of people seem to like those concentrate staffs, though. I'm surprised that your search didn't come up with anything, asI've seen them mentioned a few times. Try searching for "innercore", "inner core" or "inner-core". That might get some results.

Anyone?

I have three, and I think they are the are great. I like how the newer three-piece feels solid. I haven’t tried a Mystec staff, so I can’t comment. There should be lots of threads on Concentrate staffs somewhere.

cheers

concentrate staves are the best engineered firetoys i've ever used.
if it were legal and not against nature, i'd marry one.

I have a three piece concentrate. I've never had a problem with it....other than the fuel but that happens with most sticks. They are solid for the most part, although high speed spinning and high throws (about 10-15ft) tend to get shaky, but not to bad.

Well Gav, a search for innercore certainly gave a lot of answers. People do seem to like those staffs. I hope I will when I get one, although concerning marrying one I already have a wife and certainly wouldn't replace her with a stick.

But that contoured handle... Someone said Concentrate had promised to make a flat handle, but that was a few years ago and nothing's happened since.

Gaah, the choices to be made... Problems could be worse. Go visit Tanzania or something.

Peace be with you

This is nice. I wrote concentrate about a flat staff and yes, they are making one! I quote from the mail I got:

"Hello Martin, we are in the process of producing a straight handle for
our staffs. I am predicting that it will be about 8-10 weeks though
before they are ready to be released. The contour handle is nice once
you get used to it, great for palm spins etc but if your keen on the
straight handle then I will let you know when they are finished."

Great, don't ya think? Don't know if I can wait though. Maybe I can buy just the flat handle and switch between that and the contoured one? We'll see...

mumbo,

cool ubbidea

I’m sure callum would provide a flat handle option if we asked him. For sure, he also provides the option of attachable club swinging knobs (handles)

dude, what on earth were you searching for if you couldn't find any people who own concentrate staffs?

A search for 'concentrate' in tht title gives 5 results, of which one is bender's review ([Old link])

I've got one myself, it's the bext 3 piece one i've used. It's not as good as a good single piece staff thou in my humble opinion
