I think they have far too much gap to fill in this movie. It's going to result in one of two things. Either they are just going to leave too much stuff unanswered, or they are going to try and cram it all in, and end up losing any kind of a plot there might have been. I'm going to go see it, but I can't say I'm having great expectations...

So now is clearly the time for me to get my star wars toys up on ebay, while they are popular again... I got a complete set of the kids meal toys from taco bell back in 97 when they re-released the original 3 movies. I even have the under 3 toy and the exploding deathstar that they recalled because it really did explode. I just got them because I worked there at the time, but they take up space, and I have no use for them

Ech, after the last one? Unless they find some decent writers, I say to heck with it... Nowadays, I find the stargate series' to be more interesting than star trek anyway. I'm kinda anoyed with them cancelling Enterprise though, I had just started to get into it

if you notice, with star trek, the even ones are good and the odd ones not so much. next generation + voyager = good. original + DS9 + enterprise = bad. same dealie with the movies.

I actually quite like the newer star wars films, sure they had some annoying characters. The thing that makes star wars good is the jedi, and the jedi in the more recent films kick a seriously bigger amount of ass than the originals. Compare Vader and Luke fighting to the Maul vs Qui Gon and Obi Wan. Everyone should stop moaning and get on with their sad, geeky lives. I'm looking forward to the new one.

Damn the addictiveness of forums! (Or should it be addictivity?)

I used to play, but my $1000 worth of cards dissapeared when the house got sold... One day I'm going to take my dad's head for that... All I have now is a single playing deck that wasn't in my box... It's built around the Firewhip/venom combo... And they said that you couldn't build an efficient poison deck...

I reckon the starwars franchise has reached its peak, wot with action figures, lightsabres and aeven an anime spin-off. Hopefully it should blow over after christmas...

this movie has potential to be good, but after the last two being absolutley pants, it will probably fall flat on its face.

Has anyone had a go with the light sabers you can get from Lucas Arts.....

You can get them from: https://www.iwantoneofthose.com

They look promising and they have half decent sound effects.

Lightsabre replicas

biggrin

I'm really looking forward to the new (and hopefully final) Star Wars Film. Return of the Sith is looking like a big treat for a Star Wars interested but by no means obsessed fan- I think the dark nasty stuff should be a good antithesis to the squeeky clean Ep 1 and action orientated Ep2 (where I though Hayden Christensen was particularly wooden- homage to 70's film making or not.)

Oh and it has Chewbacca in it biggrin

Fearpig, despite the coolness of some of the stuff on that sight they still made the overly silly mistake of "pois" mad

We are the music makers, We are the dreamers of dreams,
Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams;
World-losers and world-forsakers, On whom the pale moon gleams;
We are the movers and shakers of the world for ever, it seems.
