Yeah...I figured that title might get everyone's attention. ubblol

So here I am in my new city. And what a city it is! I love this place, and I think that as I get to know it better I'll get to love it more. Odd feeling switching trains at Times Square Station today... Home. Yeah. Wierd, huh? Been here 48 hours and it's already home.

I also found an apartment right where I wanted one, with all the stuff I want in an apartment. Right near a subway stop (makes me happy), right across the street from a police station (makes Mom happy), large...yeah...so HOPers can come and crash my place once I have it. Going to hopefully sign the lease tomorrow.

I also met NYC (the HOPer) today. Although I have to say, he's kind of...I dunno...wierd.

RELAX! I'm KIDDING! ubblol

We had a great time, he started teaching me the 4-beat TTN (yeah, I've known the man for 3 hours and he already has me pissed off), and a good time was had in a park in the sun! Molls...you're a lucky gal (I also hear he's a lucky dude cool ).

Residency's going to be hard. But at least I can do it in one of the coolest places on earth. weavesmiley

hug for the rest of you

I'm pleased you were duly impressed by the coolness of NYC's block, and of course the wonderfulness of my boy biggrin

Maybe we can drag you out for a bit of playtime at some point when we both manage to be in the city at the same time (I'll be there when you're in London)

Ok, so bottom lines for people like Coleman who, for god-knows-what reason, want cold-hard facts.

1) I do not yet live in New York (NYC, darn you for having the username you do...it's most inconvenient). I'm here until Wednesday 4/13 in the morning.

2) I will be arriving in London on 30 April and leaving on 29 May. I may or may not need to use a London HOPtel® for a couple of days at the beginning and end of my visit. If I do, I shall make it well known and make a big commotion until someone puts me up for a couple days.

3) Upon returning back to the US I will go directly back to Michigan without passing "Go," without passing New York, and certainly without collecting $200.00. I shall, however, collect one diploma OFFICIALLY converting my title to "DocLightning" on 3 June.

4) On 5 June I shall get in my car and start driving. My goal is to hit New York by 6 June (Monday) in the morning and start moving in.

5) The Bronx HOPtel® (DocLightning: General Mgr.) will open about a week or so after when I finally have myself moved in. Please note that the Hostel® is located a 3 minute walk from a subway stop, which is a 40 minute ride to downtown New York. The neighborhood itself is...well...sheisty (but quite safe). This HOPtel® will be nicely decorated, spacious, and clean and the general manager will rarely be around.

6) Alternatively, A Downtown Manhattan HOPtel® (NYC: General Mgr.) will be available at the general manager's discretion, and is located AMAZINGLY central to all things cool and hippie-ish. DISCLAIMER: The County Health Department rated this HOPtel® quite unfavorably and I also note that the manager's little toes smell of blue elderberries, which is quite a turn-off.

7) While I do think that NYC is very cute and a nice guy (blue elderberry-smelling toes notwithstanding) I did not, in fact "do" NYC. I just spun some poi with him. *putting on best Bill Clinton voice* "I did not have sex with that HOPer!"

8) I am now padding points because I somehow need to get to (10) for asthetics reasons.

9) "Asthetics" may also be spelled "Aesthetics" by certain people who live on island nations where the English language was supposedly developed, but then again those people like to throw extra vowels into many of their words without rhyme or reason.

10) NYC: Friday Nights (excepting when I'm on call) I intend to be swimming with Team New York Aquatics, a.k.a. the local gay team. Given the quality of some of the men on the team, this may result in additional aerobic conditioning exercises after swim practice wink (A boy has to stay in shape, after all! ubbangel ). If this should happen, that's why I flaked.

11) Oops, I ran over, didn't I? Klutz.

You can't call shotgun on a couch. That'd mean you'd be on the floor. You can 'shot' a couch if you're cool and under 17 or work with them.

And I'm not opening up no hotel. Random hippies look North to Lightningville. Ain't nobody stayin' in my house that I haven't hugged at least 8 times already. smile

And I don't care why you flake on us as long as you promise NOT to tell us why. wink
