I dunno how many of you saw the movie. But is a really funny and clean movie.Last night i met some people and a bon fire, and one guy claimed to HATE the movie based on the face that he heard all the money the movie makes goes towards Mormon missions!
And the Mormons are "bad" according to his very strong (and narrow) beliefs.Im not Mormon, and i am not against them, and most of all Napoleon Dynomite is not EVIL!!!Coz the money does not go towards anything but the producers pockets!

I am a mormon....and we are odd. Especially some of the other ones; I think I'm relatively normal for a mormon. Well, besides the fact that I'm on a poi site, but whatever.

I am a Mormon,
We are odd, but not so much more than other religions like Buddhism or Judaism or Wiccans. we all have our different beliefs and histories that set us apart. you souldn't bash someone elses religion just because its not your own or you don't fully understand it.
The next time you see that guy tell him he cant complain about Mormons, or anything else for that matter, until he does some research and knows more about the subject.

Fair enough. I am by the way basing all my judgement on an Episode of South Park AND what I looked up on the internet about Mormons. I even went as far as to order the book of Mormon, but it never arrived...

So its probably all worth diddly squat.

I do appologise.

I'm buddhist and I go to a mormon school.

Theravadan buddhism isn't really a "religion" so I don't see how you can make that distiction. That and I go with MissE to the most largely huge Mormon school on the planet.

To each of their own.

I downloaded and watched it.

Its just plain odd.

Not so much of a comedy...but more of a collection of things that may or may not make you smile. I was to stopping it and putting on something more interesting....

umm

I think its not my humour..... wink

I watched this over the weekend. It's one of those almost-arthouse movies with an embarrasingly awkward hero. I think the movie was a bit of a let-down to be honest; had all the ingredients for something wickedly dark, but the moonboot dance to Jamiroquai was a bit of an anti-climax climax, despite me still being unable to decide whether he is actually a good dancer or not. Not laugh out loud funny, and not scathing enough to make you think.

Napoelon Dynamite 6/10.
