This is slightly off topic but if you're in the East region watch BBC Look East at 6.30 to watch 400 school children making the shape of our new gallery. Managed to get a few poi spinners there to perform which is cool.

I won't be able to make it to Cambridge this weekend I'm afraid ...wish I was. frown ubbcrying

See soon!

Love you xxxx

Posted:Hello all! Just a quick reminder about some Cambridge stuff:
* There's a meet up on Parker's Piece every Sunday in July and August from 6pm, lots of people to play with
* From the first Sunday in September we have an indoor meet at the Citylife building from 5pm (beginners) 6pm (general practise) - lots of stuff to borrow, big hall with a mirror, tunez etc.
* Some of us are going to Papworth Hospital on the 6th August, the Greenpeace Fair in Suffolk on the 2nd September, Cherry Hinton Festival on the 10th September - at all of these we plan to raise some money for the local circus group and generally have a laugh teaching and performing.
* All this and more at www.camcircus.org - and there's a Yahoo group you can join as well (see the Contact Us page)

Cheers

I'm up for the pub tonight (i've got a day off from work so in Cams today) or tomorrow but have to head back to Colchester on Sunday night. Waaaaaa...

I had a couple of e-mails about volunteer opportunities for Secret Garden festival which I think is in Huntingdon. http://www.secretgardenparty.com/

Personally I favour monkeyfist and ballchain, but they are more expensive to buy and hurt a lot more if you hit yourself. Oh and they weigh a lot if you're not used to them

a quick update...

Poi in the punt is scheduled for mid August, so far I'm thinking the 19th is probably the best day for it (that's a saturday) We're looking at taking out about 30-36 people (including cambridge people) so that would be 5-6 punts. I'd expect about 15 people to be from cambridge itself, at a push I should be able to fit about twenty people in my house for the night.

Location: DAY: cambridge, punts on the river NIGHT:(PM for details)should be possible to camp for the night

other details:
punting in the daytime will probably cost a few quid (about 2.50/hour with 6 people) provided we have punts filled with 6 people to share the cost.

Punting company details at http://www.scudamores.com/punting/yourself/index.php
br>P.S, if you get a punt, ask for a metal pole, they're much easier to use than the wooden ones!

night location is sometimes used for raves
