Well, seeing as I've nearly got all of the sand out of my shoes, I thought we should talk about dates. Now, I appreciate there are a lot of poiple with commitments in July, and it will be impossible to find a date that suits everyone, so I think we just need to pick a weekend when there are no other major music festivals.

So: The 15th-17th is out, as it's the Glade
The 29th to the 31st is WOMAD

I know there are millions of things on in July, but they seem to be the two main ones.

Therefore, how'd people feel about coming down to Falmouth from Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th?

The discussion is open.

i'm tentatively thinking about it smile

seeing as i was super-ill this time (and really jealous of that lodge thing - i soooooo wanna stay there next time...).

but will the prices for the campsite be higher seeing as it won't be out of season in july (very possibly the high point of their season i'd guess)?

Earlier in July would be lovely for me (as was mentioned at Fal3) but it looks like the later the better from most posts so far- anyone considered late may early August instead?

if it was in August, then us foreigners could come as well to make it a package tour including the PLAY festival on the 18th smile

May/ early June is probably too early for most students (including me!)

oh my god i cant believe i missed this thread....oh well now i have found

anyway very excited and i also have no life, so will make it my mission to make it any weekend

and this may or may not be a popular idea but we could make falmouth the weekend before the PLAY fest, or make it half way through the week before play so we could sort of make falmouth a warm up for play and head to play in a BIG croud..........would be funking cool

I am free. or at least can be from the 11th July through to the PLAY festival ,,, if that helps . . . Though with all these things I think we are going to have endless discussion and maybe someone (Mags and other Cornish Dwellers) should make the final decision as it wouldn't really be the same with out them... It'd be like visiting friends when there on holiday

the first weekend in july or one of the weekends in august when nothing major's happening does seem like a better idea, as various spinners are going to see NIN around the 9th and 10th

My problem is George being really big and full of baby by then and if it's immediately before PLAY I deffinately can't come seeing as I'll be super busy organising PLAY and making it as lovely as possible for you guys.

Really, don't worry about me, the only chance I have of making it is if it's early July so I'll just send lots of super warm sun vibes to ya instead to make sure you're having a great time sunny
