Hi.

My new mystec staff arrived today. smile

It's quite light (860g with kevlar; length 140cm) and seems really fantastic.

Here are some pictures for you: wink

The paper is A4.

I bought it without the Kevlar. The guy from mystec.de made the drill holes for me and sent me his prefered screws.

I had one more picture with me on it holding the staff, but I just looked too mad, so maybe next time... wink

Cheers

Hi.

I bought this staff @ www.mystec.de.

The guy making them is from nothern Germany and imho very friendly (called him several times).

I wanted two kevlar parts on both sides, so he made the aluminium tubes on both sides longer for me. (Be aware that four 75cm kevlar rolls also make this staff quite heavy: 860g. That's ok with me, but some people like it lighter)

The staff is made from glass fibre with fire resistant rubbercoat around it and very flexible. E.g.: you can let it fall on your knee and it jumps back into your hand. (I had a very cool training yesterday)

If you want more advertising visit the webpage... wink

Ok, I paid 90 Euro without kevlar, but just because I'm in a charitable society. I guess they might be more expensive normally...

Cheers
Fritz

Hi.

The price was ok for me. I paid about 75 Euros for my selfmade staff. (Aluminium 25, wood 10, kevlar 40 Euro) and this one is demountable.

Yes; I added the kevlar myself. As mentioned before Sascha from mystec made the drill holes. The drill holes went through. He sent eight longer and eight shorter screws. I took the shorter ones. The screws are about 0,5cm inside the staff itself.

No, I haven't lit it yet, but I'll do that this weekend in the Volkspark Friedrichshain in Berlin. (So if you want to say hello... wink )

Wow, I didn't think that there would be that much interest in this staff. Do you want more pictures? wink

Cheers

I love mystec staffs.

I wanna do that heat shrink over foam padding thing too.

Though I'm not sure if it is heat shrink or just some other cool rubbery stuff and molds nicely around things.

there just plain old sticks mech. nothing fancy at all. hence the cheapness.

would be nice to have something all shiney and posh like that mystec but the way i abuse sticks it would last about two months. I've already made s*it of a concentrate.

Kevlar for 15.00 5 foot from where ever (118mm)

costs me around twenty pounds per long burning pretty much unbendable staff, or thirty if I want double burners etc.

This stuff has a wall thickness of between 1.5 and 2.00mm depending on what grade I ask for, I've learnt staff and taught staff with these things, I'm now experimenting with semi contact and full contact choriogrpahed fire staff combat, and have never bent one yet.

Hi.

Your al prices are really cool.

I paid for the 2m Alu tube (25mm diameter) 25 Euro in Berlin. That's for 1m (40 inch) about 12 Euro.

2m quality Wood to fit inside 10 Euro. (Should have taken cheaper wood)

Well, you might get this stuff cheaper but there aren't that many shops selling al tubes in the city center itself and a two way ticket to markets on the town border also costs at least 4 Euro. (Berlin is some kind of big wink )

For three meters (10feet) kevlar 40 Euro. (That's a normal price in Germany if you buy it in a shop. When buying online it's cheaper, but you also have to add the costs for shipping)

Whatever. I'm really happy with the staff and will post some pictures with it lit this weekend.

Your mystec staff, do you do contact with it? Or just normal spinning? I´ll get either a mystec or a concentrate and can't decide.

anyone knows the internet adress from Concentrate company or knows how to get in contact with them?
